I'm here for this comment. And yes, more likely a paper wasp than a yellowjacket, as the former tend to hang their legs when they fly, whereas the latter keep them tucked.

Sorry THAT is hornet NOT a bee it is a Hornet or wasp , Wasps Hornets are far more agressive than bees I am a beekeeper and routinely open the hives up without a sting . Bees can only sting once , most species of hornets multiple times
most people don't know the difference and yes that is a wasp and they are nasty and can sting more than once. I caught some nesting in my side view mirror of my car this past summer

It’s actually a European Paper Wasp. These guys are usually really aggressive. We get them all the time on our hummingbird feeders. A bee will let you pet it, but these guys, I wouldn’t even try to touch one... (yes, I have pet both bumble and honey bees before)
