When you were tapping the bottom of the pan it reminded me of my mom making cakes. She would lightly tap on the counter. We had to tip toe through the kitchen silently so as not to make the cake fall haha now I think she just didn't want us being noisy. One again thank you for your cooking and memories
Mrs. Donna: I finally got around to baking this cake and it’s so very delicious! My grandson doesn’t like pecans so I left the pecans out of this cake! It was still so very delicious! I let a few people try it and they told me it was so very delicious! Thanks for the recipe and know that it is very good!
Going to try it for Thanksgiving!! Secret to cake pans. I warm the pan slightly and spray it with Easy Off oven cleaner and let it sit. Takes the brown stuff on the outside of the pan and makes it look new!!❤
This looks amazing!! and lol being a taste tester is a "tough" job because sometimes you need another slice of cake to make sure it taste just as good as the first slice LOL !
Your husband cracks me up; I watched this video 3 times all the way through & I didn’t see when you added the maple syrup so I just put it in at the end.
OMG, I just made this cake. It’s so good. I had made it before, one with roasted potatoes and one with canned. I gave the roasted one to my neighbors and they raved about it. I didn’t like the one with canned sweet potatoes. I didn’t understand why they loved it so much. So, I made it again with the roasted sweet potatoes. I put a cream cheese frosting on it and a Carmel sauce drizzle on it. It is sooooooo delicious. Fabulous cake. Definitely use roasted sweet potatoes. Thank you for the recipe. I made this pound cake yesterday and OMG how it turned out. It cracked on the top but I don’t care. It is so moist and just the right seasoning. I had to make my own cake flour but it worked out fine. Thank you for the recipe, I do love sweet potatoes. I posted it to FB with a picture end all my friends love it so I hope you get more subscribers.

My grandmother used to make sweetpotatos cakes 🎂 all the time. She made sweet potatoes, biscuits, and corn 🌽 bread 🍞 with sweet potatoes as well so good. Old school all day 😊😊

This was an all round hit. I prepared this for a potluck. I altered the flavor profile by adding and 1/8 teaspoon of cardamom for the citrus note.
