OK, it’s official. Suzy and Chandra are living proof that you and Mark are serious overachievers. You guys are truly blessed and the best part is that you guys have earned every one of those blessings. I truly enjoy any time I get to tag along with any of your family adventures. Thank you all so much, Gary
Your commitment to how well "GARMIN" products serve you , made me decide to buy one for my car (So, I just bought one now). Only thing I lack is wings, a propeller and landing gear! Now Get Back to Work!!!!!!
I`ve been dedicated to Garmin for my airplanes and auto. Got screwed on the auto GPS. Lifetime expired and had to figure out to put in a chip years ago to boost capacity. It still works but can`t be updated.
I learned to buy only Garmin for auto or boat. Long stories of wandering down unnamed roads and even the wrong state was quite annoying. But Garmin has always been very good so I stuck with it.
Great video! I'm contemplating starting ground school in the fall. Been going to Oshkosh almost every year since I was 10 years old and I think it's finally time to do it.. your an inspiration Mike!
I watched Mark's video on this when he posted it. Needless to say Suzy was very happy. I can't wait to see what the PC-12 looks like after they get done with it. Of COURSE Garmin is going to come out and certify a G900NXi for the PC-12! LOL
""The only piston airplane here on the whole ramp at Teterboro..." Uhh, I don't think so. I think that's my Comanche sitting next to Suzy's Cirus! I was only there one night too!
Mike has this confidence and charisma that exudes from every action on video, Mark is happy to be there. I'm a Mark, just happy to be here. You two remind me of my twin uncles.
You guys got it easy flying about. My last 3 weeks Truck Driving: Las Vegas > Boston > Las Vegas > SLC > Temecula(CA) > Las Vegas > Kansas City > SLC > Las Vegas Don't ask the miles driven. I stopped keeping track years ago. I did drive by the St Louis Arch on my way to Boston though. :)
My first time landing in Teterboro was great, they rolled out the red carpet and picked me up in a limousine golf cart. There were so many large planes around and here was my tiny Cessna. They asked if I needed any services, I replied yes, you can go ahead and wind my rubber band please.
I had to divert to Hilton Head Island due to bad weather at my fuel stop that didn't have an instrument approach. Tons of private jets surrounding my little Cessna 172.
Great video Mike. I watched it on Mark's channel when he uploaded it. Still cool to watch it again. Suzy's Cirrus turned out absolutely awesome. Such a beautiful paint job. Thank you for sharing with us. 🤘🇺🇸🛩️
Welccome to CPS, where I got my training and ticket in 78. Also grew up in neighboring Cahokia. Lot of aviation history in this area. Hope you enjoyed your stay.
Stopped by the Gateway Arch on the way home from picking up my rebuilt engine from Barrett Precision Engines in Tulsa. Now in the process of configuring the Garmin G3X in my RV-8 after first engine start. All Garmin avionics in my plane; looking forward to flying with it and mastering it all!
Hibbing MN? HIB that is where we fly out and in, when taking commercial flights for work. I never knew there was a paint booth of that size there. Suzy's Cirrus looks great!
Ahh I remember the last time I was so fed up with an airport that I chartered a private plane, so I could pick up my custom painted plane, happens to everyone
I would really like to see how would the Pilatus look and work with a G3000 panel. Honeywell system, that they install in PC-12NG is great, but I think that the G3000 would make the airplane little more friendly. (Also, the Honeywell system is not that great for maintenance)
What a great video - I love the build stuff but this was also awesome. Not only highlighting how good GA can be - but highlighting some great aircraft support organizations! Keep ‘em coming!
I have a bunch of ideas for wing designs. With a cub, some have "folding" wings for storage. Have you thought about a very small adjustable "swing wing" design?
Mike some content or pointers to your favorite content on starting and running business would be great. Maybe another channel? To get into aviation I need to make more money.
Don't know if you have any interest in antique airplanes, but there's a neat little museum at the Creve Coeur Airport. I recommend you check it out sometime when you're back in the St. Louis area.
I looked up the base price of a cirrus (770,000) and I'm sure it's not the reason why we all aren't flying in general aviation, but I love flying and I know I will never have access or own part 103 let alone lsa. Great video, it makes me wish we had more Groupon training flights where I live everytime I see you guys flying. Get back to work💪🤠👍
Both my and Suzy’s planes were purchased for less than half that amount combined. We bought airplanes that were previously owned and had been well cared for. You can find a great selection of used airplanes out there and I hope you are in a position to get up there and enjoy flying sometime soon. 🤠
Hey Mike, Great video, looks like I’ll have to check out Marks channel. I flew my Mooney to New York from Oregon and back two years ago. Great trip. Now to the down side of the video. I love your drive for aviation and like you say “Whenever something gets built, the entire world advances”. Being in aviation awhile I really think Garmin slows down the world to their own pace and they contradict the values you have in aviation. They are so proprietary when it comes to other avionics working with their system that plane owners have to literally break the bank to play in their universe. It’s great if money is no object, and I LOVE your builds and see what is possible but when it’s to easy for a full garmin panel to cost more than the value of my Mooney 201 Garmin is not advancing aviation. I totally get Garmin has the right to charge what they want for their avionics and pilots don’t have to pay for them. But if they would work better with other companies THAT would move aviation forward. Here is an example. I really enjoy flying with my IFD440. It is cheaper than the 650 and does more things. But the Garmin GFC500 is the top of the line auto pilot and the best in the business. Would love to have it in my plane. But if I install it with an IFD GPS I won’t get Vnav for an approach. I know avidyne can figure that out down the road. But seems pretty ridiculous it has to work that way so Garmin can “strong arm” plane owners to pay the extra money for the 650/750 to get a very basic function out of the top of the line auto pilot. The multiple AMU’s I would have to spend on a 650/750 could go to many other areas of aviation not including the things they don’t provide over the IFD’s. At the start of the video you guys say there is anything else. Well there are a lot of great options out there that could help fellow pilots that don’t work with Garmin, or Garmin won’t work with them. Okay rant over, still love your videos and what you do for aviation!!!!! Thank you
G'day mate, suggestion for you. Your plane movers are great, what about something that will hook up to farm equipment to move around yards and sheds without having to resort to use large equipment, and handle rough ground.
To see the public records of any airplane registered in the USA simply type in the registration number and see the public records for that tail number. In this instance type in N913BT. To see who they chartered a flight from type in N22LP. Easy, easygoing public records.
You need to advertise the GPU better, even after seeing it I couldn't find it on your site. I finally searched for Best Tugs BP-56 and found it, about 2 weeks too late. I just bought one for avionics updates, etc, but I love the way yours is built into a Pelican style case. I'm so sorry you didn't do this video a few weeks ago before I pulled the plug on a different one. I actually just found it under Tug Attachments, not really where I expected to find it. It needs it's own link at the top of the page.
G’day Mike Chandra Mark Suzy Teams & Co ;-) Congratulations 👏 simply magnificent! With many source blessings with truth clarity love light laughter happiness joy fun play creativity adventures abundance wisdom and may peace be with you all! Victoria Australia 🇦🇺 xoxo
I love it, that you put Suzy’s name on the plane. You should have her name on the door by the cockpit, same as navy planes. I wonder, can you equip the Pilatus with a Garmin system? Is the Honeywell system that cumbersome?
I like Garmin stuff but I'm a little disappointed that they went full touch screen and took the buttons off. In Texas in the spring the turbulence makes it near impossible to program that thing. I only have a 175. I'm not sure if the higher end stuff still has actual buttons.
I fly a G3000 as a corporate pilot. It has knobs for freq changes like a G530, also map zoom and volume. You might be surprised at how you can rest your hand on the outside edge and use the touch, it’s not a problem.
Mark and Suzy: We need to see ya'll more often! How's the Carbon Cub project coming? Been along time since an update. The world knows your busy, but we're all tired of seeing your brother Mike! NOT!! Pateys....... Please keep the videos coming. The aviation world CAN'T GET ENOUGH!
Mike and Chandra are into their bush flying with carbon cubs, Mark and Suzi into more “fast”, “high” and “tarmac” planes with the Pilatus and the Cirrus. I’d go experimental bush myself if I ever got my license.
Mike using his clone to make video content..... 😊👍 Great video, Mark. I already watched it on your channel. Suzy's Cirrus looks amazing...inside and out.
Great video! Hi Suzy, if you're inclined to do another video, I would like to see you featuring a commented tour on your new all garmin glass cockpit with pros and cons after you gathered enouth experience with it. I think that episode could also be a good teaser for women to intensify or even get into their personal aviation experience! What do you think? Greetings 👍😊
Sorry but Teterboro Airport isn’t in NYC it’s in Bergen county NJ but it’s about 10 miles from Manhattan. And about the inside/outside eating. Yes we’ve been struggling with this hypocrisy for almost 3 years. We have a lot of nice places to tour in NYC but we’re clearly missing a nice airport for general aviation aircraft
go Garmin!! Garmin makes great and high quality products. I use there smartwatches, but they make good stuff for aviation, marine, satellite communicators, and automotive products.
I have a lowely Garmin Nuvi 1490T for my CAR! It is getting very old now - your upgrade to Garmin has lit a fuse for me to search out a suitable replacement. Mark, I seriously doubt I will need to go to the same thing you have in your wife's plane! LOL. I love the panel and paint job.
My experience with avionics is that there are always bugs after a new installation. Having work done far from home just wouldn't work for me. My Garmin stuff has been a little problematic. Still waiting to have all the bugs worked out.
OK, it’s official. Suzy and Chandra are living proof that you and Mark are serious overachievers. You guys are truly blessed and the best part is that you guys have earned every one of those blessings. I truly enjoy any time I get to tag along with any of your family adventures.
Thank you all so much,
Gary
You’re so kind. Thank you.
It still works but can`t be updated.
garmin kinda sucks for driving a car. i suggest you save your money in the future and just use google maps
I learned to buy only Garmin for auto or boat. Long stories of wandering down unnamed roads and even the wrong state was quite annoying. But Garmin has always been very good so I stuck with it.
Congratulations to Suzy, I love watching you all are first class all the way!
Great video! I'm contemplating starting ground school in the fall. Been going to Oshkosh almost every year since I was 10 years old and I think it's finally time to do it.. your an inspiration Mike!
Good luck! Who wouldn’t want to fly after watching the Patey family.
DO ITTTT
Get started… I am one year in… almost ready for checkride
This is what Hard Work gets you… love it! God Bless from Germany ❤️
This really starts my day in a positive direction 👍
I watched Mark's video on this when he posted it. Needless to say Suzy was very happy. I can't wait to see what the PC-12 looks like after they get done with it. Of COURSE Garmin is going to come out and certify a G900NXi for the PC-12! LOL
Great avionics update and paint scheme, well done Suzy...
The Cirrus is absolutely sick! The glass panel is awesome! Way to go Suzy! Enjoy that plane! Love the matching Best Tug!
I love how your passions are a whole family affair. Living the dream guys.
KHIB is my home area… glad the Cirrus company moved to the neighborhood. And that M&S got to see some of the Northland’s beautiful lakes
good to see an actual professional shop
What a beautiful plane, unbelievable the amazing things you all work with. Couldn't even dream that amazing.
""The only piston airplane here on the whole ramp at Teterboro..." Uhh, I don't think so. I think that's my Comanche sitting next to Suzy's Cirus! I was only there one night too!

Absolutely love your attitude, Mike and Mark. You inspire me.
You guys got it easy flying about. My last 3 weeks Truck Driving: Las Vegas > Boston > Las Vegas > SLC > Temecula(CA) > Las Vegas > Kansas City > SLC > Las Vegas
Don't ask the miles driven. I stopped keeping track years ago. I did drive by the St Louis Arch on my way to Boston though. :)
My nephew is a truck driver and I must say, you all put in the work! And I truly appreciate you.
My first time landing in Teterboro was great, they rolled out the red carpet and picked me up in a limousine golf cart. There were so many large planes around and here was my tiny Cessna. They asked if I needed any services, I replied yes, you can go ahead and wind my rubber band please.

@@fudogwhisperer3590 yes I’ve been there too, but Teterboro is extreme. I was in my 175, the plane nobody knows what it is when they see it lol.
A episode dedicated to Marc and Suzy. Nice. That changes a little bit. Well done. 👍😎
Great video Mike. I watched it on Mark's channel when he uploaded it. Still cool to watch it again. Suzy's Cirrus turned out absolutely awesome. Such a beautiful paint job. Thank you for sharing with us. 🤘🇺🇸🛩️
I bought a bunch of GRMN a while back when I saw them cracking into aviation. Its paid off big time.
Welccome to CPS, where I got my training and ticket in 78. Also grew up in neighboring Cahokia. Lot of aviation history in this area. Hope you enjoyed your stay.
I like the sneak attack Mark video. More of this please
Paint job is absolutely stunning!!!! 💯
I liked Mark and Suzy's video a lot the first time and I even watched the entire video again. Now, get back on that golf course!
I agree Mark and Mike, get the VERY BEST, "See WAT you've been missing" (See What You're STILL Missing) !!!
Wow! That paint job is spectacular!
I love that color scheme and it turned out fabulous!
Nice brief clip of the park visual into LGA
Love it, well done to whoever chose this paint colour. Enjoy.
I just did the arch as well!! was A GREAT TIME!!
Hibbing MN? HIB that is where we fly out and in, when taking commercial flights for work. I never knew there was a paint booth of that size there. Suzy's Cirrus looks great!
I used to live not far from HIB! I miss the range, still have a few friends I visit often!

Next video the greyhound, rail or hitchhiking
That's his plane.
Yup - the pilatus belongs to the Pateys James. (I suppose the original intention was to fly the cirrus back together).
I would really like to see how would the Pilatus look and work with a G3000 panel. Honeywell system, that they install in PC-12NG is great, but I think that the G3000 would make the airplane little more friendly. (Also, the Honeywell system is not that great for maintenance)

Grate video Mike the Cirrus looks amazing, grate job
Really enjoyed this video. Beautiful Cirrus too.
GREAT JOB, GREAT VIDEO, LOVE THE PAINT JOB AND UPGRADE...SEE YOU ALL NEXT TIME...
Just a beautiful aircraft. That paint is striking.

Mike some content or pointers to your favorite content on starting and running business would be great. Maybe another channel? To get into aviation I need to make more money.
I wish you the best of luck on starting your business and please report back on how it’s going. I’m planning to do the same.
Yeah, I can imagine what it's like to wait, my Baron is 6 weeks in the shop for annual and autopilot repair.
Best looking/functional Cirrus out there.
Wow-that’s sharp!
What a fun video. Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm.
The company I work for Modern Avionics and Maintenance is a Garmin dealer and their equipment is top notch.
Don't know if you have any interest in antique airplanes, but there's a neat little museum at the Creve Coeur Airport. I recommend you check it out sometime when you're back in the St. Louis area.
Garmin glass upgrade is well worth it. Loved training with it in a newer 172. Would love to be able to upgrade to Garmin in my Tomahawk.
Awesome video as always
Happy Flying Adventures
Great to see you on Cleetus at the FF

The Beechcraft Denali will have Garmin avionics!
You will need to do a "Patey's Pilots" shout out when someone you've sponsored gets their license! 😎

The Patey Brothers double dipping for TH-cam views. Not that I mind. I'll watch them both!
I already watched this two weeks ago Mark is my favorite Patey. Because of his executive lecture. 💙💛😎
Took me a second. Didn’t Mark post this awhile ago? Looks familiar. That museum under the arch is absolutely amazing. I want to go see it again!

Is it just me or did they forget to mirror image the Best Tugs logo on the port side of the vertical stab? Or is the starboard side wrong?
Excellent stuff bro
Yes something positive to watch!
I want to see the build series of Chandra's cub
Wow you were in my neck of the woods. You should have checked out Katamas grass strip on Martha’s Vineyard

Does Garmin do dash panels for automotive applications after seeing that panel I want one in my vehicle 😁.
What was the cost comparison for flying commercial opposed to flying yourself, or did that enter your original thoughts
At his level, cost is not a factor at all. Commercial is BY FAR the cheaper option.
