Yes, even some of those who call themselves believers will try to extinguish your flame and passion for the Lord. I stopped going to certain bible study groups and church gatherings because of these kinds of people. I have a small handful of genuine believers I fellowship with to up build and encourage one another. I stay in the word of God daily, pray continually, listen to sermons rich in spiritual food, I mind my own business, I keep busy in the Lord's work, and I witness to all I can. Stay away from the negative Nelly's. They will suck the life out of you and kill your zeal for the glory of the Lord. Let us encourage one another to stay strong as we await the arrival of our King!

I am homeless and battling Satan, who recently set me up. It's hard, but it's exciting at once. The Lord is here. I've learned to turn the other cheek and not rush myself. What's funny is that when I tried to go "my own way" (i.e., chase worldly ambition), something increasingly didn't feel right, and I would let Satan make me blame myself and be ashamed of not being of this world. Now, however, I feel like I am where I should be. All I have is the clothes on my back-and Christ. I am not preaching complacency and such; rather, I have understood and accepted my path, which does not follow the world's logical, linear structure imposed on us.
We live in a greedy, evil, corrupt, dangerous and dark world. Whoever loves money never has enough, whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income. This too is meaningless. Ecclesiastes 5.10.
