There are two ways on how reservists can be promoted: First is through the so-called "time in grade" wherein a reservist must qualify the requirements based on the number of years he/she has served in his/her current rank, and the completion of the required training/schooling for his position. Second is through "rank adjustment" wherein a reservist resigns from his present rank, and re-applies again for another rank using the qualifications he achieved in his civilian live, such as professional licenses, government/corporate experience, significant accomplishments, etc.
Trainings would depend on how it was programmed by the different community defense centers. There are times that sessions are conducted for 45 days straight, and there are also instances that the trainings are held every weekends only.
May question po ako sa medical clearance about blood chem, if for example mataas ang uric level ng applicant for enlistment, makukuha pa rin po ba siya sa training? Thank you po
That would depend on the assessment of the medical officer who will evaluate your documents. Usually, they will still allow you to join, but they will list down certain restrictions on what you can and cannot do.

You may coordinate with your CDC to know when you are projected to undergo the training.
