Very true. I just wonder when they are going to finally run out of money. I mean, they haven't made any for years. You say the word profit and they need to find a dictionary.
Bringing any work to modern times seems like poison for fans because they never do it in an intelligent or cool way, it's pure taking a story and adding the worst elements of the modern era.
I’m glad he’s creating a new character, not retconing an old character. I don’t like it appearing to be a Zorro book. Make the title “Strong Female Lead whose brother thinks he’s Zorro.” Then see if it sells.
Of course they make Zorro look like a 'dumb fascist' just like they are doing with Batman, and for the same vindictive, vengeance, indoctrinal, doublethink based, and error replete, demon supporting reasons.
The female lead may be a stand in for the author, Sean Gordon Murphy is kinda full of himself at this stage of his career. Let the market decide if his tales will succeed and if they do fine by me, he is clearly not producing comics for me.
In the next issue, Zorro confronts the cartel with a flaming sword provided by St. James. The cartel is helpless. The leader renouces his life of crime and takes holy orders and lives in a monastery for the rest of his life. The other cartel members also reform. Zorro's sanity returns. I could dig a story like this.
I love Sean's art style and he's clearly a skilled artist. I suspect the hyenas he interacts with have shamed him into joining their delusions. This is so sad to see.
He wrote Bruce Wayne as a unhinged lunatic in White Knight, force feeding a “random” bottle of pills to The Joker after causing a crap load of collateral damage during his car chase. His writing might excel when put behind his own characters but he has wild ideas for established IPs.
Your father issues affect your ability to think if you’re serious in this behavior of excusing every gob of spit that you get with “hE iS oN mY sIdE rEAlLy”. He hates you and tells jokes about people like you when he meet his lefty friends. Find God and your self worth ffs.
@@HammerheadStarcraft It’s like that but if Frank Miller was trying to get Batman locked up so he could move on to his Harley Quinn passion project. Great art though or at least, I like his style.
White Knight as a whole is quite overrated. Its been nothing but diminishing returns since the first series and has never been as good as the very first couple issues. As a fan of Zorro and such I ordered the first issue. specifically resist the btas homage cover which was further motivation to try this new series. For whatever reason it never arrived in my hold. since then, everything I've heard about this series has me believing I dodged a bullet and I wont / havnt even bothered asking my LCS what happened and wont be buying any of this. oh well. not me who loses.
Sean Gordon Murphy is a centrist my ass. And Just Some Groomer is okay with drag queen shows for children. But I guess you must have a lot in common with people like him, huh?
Why not just use El Zorro's code-name translated into English, "The Fox"? Since the character is in public domain, and it takes place in the present or in the near future in a major, large American city, and the character is an all-different, all-new, female version of Zorro, the comic book story might as well, right? She is supposed to be inspired by the original Zorro from well over 100 years ago. So instead of completely copying Zorro's style from the past, she should be her own version of Zorro from over a century later. The writing of this could've been a science-fiction story that was already ahead of the curve by making it a sci-fi update. But this idea was obviously not done because of any homage to the original Zorro. This idea was simply done to replace Zorro with a feminist nonsense fantasy. Sorry, no. Zorro is Zorro. Whoever or whatever this cheap imitation is, I don't know. Just another fake ass wanna be that will never be the real deal.
Stop being surprised. They’re coming after everything no stone left unturned.

Too late, remember Zorro the Gay Blade? A missed opportunity.

Great art but insane characterizations. It does have the best version of Duke though, which isn’t saying much.
Sean Gordon Murphy is a Centrism just like JustSomeGuy is a cestrist.

Those that are deluded enough to still go and buy this deserve what they get, Consoomers Consoom after all.
