Did not ever think that Buffalo were the training type. It is the first performance I've seen with a remarkable act, such as this one. Wonder how much he charges per show!?! Great video by the way. Thanks!
Very true! If you look, you can see the guy's spurs are really long, and after he spins the mule, he is constantly jabbing it to get it to go down with the spurs.
This man is bad ass!! I have seen him 4 or 5 times in benson nc at mule days do his show. amazing!!! not many people in this world that can do that with animals.
And the guy's spurs were huge and pretty sharp. I do use spurs, but they are harmless. Push them as hard as you can into your skin and it doesn't even hurt. This guy was jabbing the mule with his spurs.
que animalito TAMBONITO Y OBEDIENTE1!!!!!!!! Y LOS TORITOS TAN CONSIDERADOS HERMOSISIMOS ESOS DOS INTELIGENTES TOROS OJALA LE DEN UNA LECCION AL SALVAJE QUE ESTA ENCIMA DEL LINDO CABALLITO JIJIJIAJAJAJJIAAAAAAAAAAA
If you notice the 'horse' he's riding has large ears...it's a mule. They're capable of a lot more than a horse physically. They're more agile and are typically better jumpers. The chances of Mr. Payne breaking his horses leg are slim. He's been doing this for YEARS, as does his entire family, they're extremely professional and his animals are very well trained and taken care of.
I was just thinking the same thing. It's one thing doing that when the truck and trailer is stopped, but just plain stupid when moving. You can see the horse did not want to get down.
I'm SICK AND TIRED of people stealing other's videos and only showing a short part of this. I remember seeing the whole video somewhere else. This doesn't do the act justice.
This isn't just for entertainment. It is a form of education for people like yourself, who have no idea what it was like out west back in the old days. You didn't simply go out a buy a horse, or a bull. You had to rope them, and ride them while they tried to buck you off in order to break them so you could use them to help your jobs around the ranches/farms.
Ouch when he lands back on his horse after standing on him, he could have been a bit nicer about that. Really good performance but he needs to be more genlte!
She/he didn't say it was stupid, just that it was dangerous. Trick riders put themselves at risk, but this man is putting both him and his animals in unsafe positions.
Be careful Johnny? If he was careful I would not be watching. The buffalo represents so much about north America. If buffalo tasted better than beef. We sure would be living different today. Really nice video. Thanks for uploading.
People do dangerous things all the time, even when they know it's dangerous.. Trust won't keep that mule upright if it loses its balance while spinning on top of the trailer while the trailer is moving. The only thing trust will do is get that mule onto and off of the trailer without it refusing.
I'm with everybody else here who said having that mule on a moving trailer was dangerous and stupid. Especially making it jump off while the vehicle was moving with the trailer hitched. One wrong move and that mule could have fallen, landed wrong upon the jump down, broken a leg, or spooked and sent both handler and animal flying.
If we are arguing risk, then anything you do around a horse can be dangerous for the animal in exactly the wrong conditions. That doesn't mean you should limit the fun you and your animal have together based on paranoia. Those two have trained together for years to be able to have that level of trust. I think he would know his animal's potential behaviors better than anyone.
the mule obviously did not want to get back off the moving trailer, the "cowboy" had to kick it with spurs that are supposed to be used lightly or else you can cause serious bruising and even open wounds. Im more worried about the mule then that stupid human. >:(
are u serious? this is fkn abuse. this i like dig fighting.. humans that put theres animals in fuckt up situations for money.. look at sharks movies about this kind of "sports" before u say that this isnt abuse. 😒👊
I think that most rodeos outside of Canada are too reckless with their animals. and this just proves my point of how they put them in dangerous situationss :/
Ive seen this before, not sure if its the same person, but it makes me sick. I dont want to know the harsh training "aids" they had to use to train both mule and bison. Very unnatural and cruel.
I met this guy i know he dont abuse the bison or mules they are well tranied because he bottle fed the bison form a very yong age they are like puppy dogs they follow him all over his ranch if they are abused they would not go near him and little girl the spurs the guy wears dont hurt the aniaml they are exition of his foot they reach they reach the flank of the mule to move him he would'nt use any thing that hurt his animals the jump off the truck trick he only does with well loved and trusted mule dont judge unless you know what he really he is like so go be a sheep some where else
es mula, no caballo, y si en Mexico hay muchisimos caballos hermosos, pero la verdad la mayoria si no es que todos los caballos que buenos ya sea para nuesto deporte nacional, o carreras vienen de USA, o fueron cruzados con un caballo de USA
This is amazing, Bisons are my favorite animal, I always think that they are so mysterious, beautiful animals ❤
Did not ever think that Buffalo were the training type. It is the first performance I've seen with a remarkable act, such as this one. Wonder how much he charges per show!?! Great video by the way. Thanks!
I saw him live in Burwell Nebraska and got to meet him! He is a awesome guy and has a talent with his animals!
Wow thats awesome! I never knew bison were trainable, or graceful. Very neat.
this guy is great ive seen him do his shows before and he is great the dedication he has to the animals is great
Very true! If you look, you can see the guy's spurs are really long, and after he spins the mule, he is constantly jabbing it to get it to go down with the spurs.
Poor mule

The One Armed Bandit and his Bison were at the Minnesota State Rodeo. They were sweet!

Wow I love Bison, is that a mule?! Anyone who can ride a mule well has got a lot of respect from me! XD
MUY BUEN SHOW
Yeah just plop down onto the mule's back. Ouch.
I was just thinking the same thing. It's one thing doing that when the truck and trailer is stopped, but just plain stupid when moving. You can see the horse did not want to get down.
cool show
WOW!!!! The Mule and Buffalo are like big ass cocker spaniels haha

Crazy
Not a fan of the stuff with the moving trailer, but the rest was something really impressive to see. Not bad!
This guy was here in Idaho last summer

Wow
how'd they do that?

What would be really bad is if the mule spooked and instinct drove it forward off the trailer. Then they're both doomed...
only in 'Murica! lol i live in oklahome

Victoria Pratt, well, accidents do happen. And it's ridiculous to take that kind of risk.
alguien sabe que modelo de camion es ese????
O My Good

Who else is tired of people saying this is abuse? Go look up dog fighting or animals who go to slaughter. Anyway I love this video! Great trust.

Trust?? This mule didn’t “trust” him when jumping off of a moving lorry, and he got spurred (pain caused to him) until he did.
Trust my ass!
It's cool that the horse can do that but it's dangerous
oita nos vemos
I think that most rodeos outside of Canada are too reckless with their animals. and this just proves my point of how they put them in dangerous situationss :/
