Precision Oncology specialist, Alex Rolland, discusses a new type of treatment for patients with late-stage Multiple Myeloma (MM). Multiple Myeloma (MM) is a disease of the B-cells. Over the last few years, many new targeted therapies have been approved for treating MM…however, eventually the disease becomes treatment resistant.
Fortunately, there is now a new class of drugs called Bi-Specific T-cell Engagers (also known as, “BiTE’s”) are providing significant benefits in late-stage MM. Alex explains how this new class of drugs works, the studies involved, and how this exciting new development impacts patients.
