    🚄 INFORMATION KEY
    Train Numbers - e.g. 43032 or 800110 - These are train numbers which are specific to that train. No trains can be numbered the same. Locos are 5 digit numbers where the first two numbers are the class of train e.g. 67010 would be a class 67. Multiple Units are 6 digit numbers where the first three numbers are the class of train e.g. 390154 would be a class 390. Click Here to learn more
    ➤ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TOPS#TO...
    Headcodes - e.g. 1F32 or 5M00 - These are used by the railway signallers to determine where trains are on the network. Every train within a region has a specific four code ID. Click Here to learn more
    ➤ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Train_r...
    Set Number - e.g. WB64 or NL04 - These are semi-permanent loco hauled coach formations which are kept together for formalities. The first two letters usually indicate the maintenance depot responsible e.g. OC is Old Oak Common, LA is Laira. The number indicates the rake number.

    Excellent quality video! Very professional, steady panning shots - love the graphics used too!
    And I also love the fact you put effort into documenting tube head codes as well as National Rail unlike many spotters! I only wish you’d also include the leading tube carriages like 3253 like you would with any other unit or loco...

    • @StarlifeStudios
      @StarlifeStudios  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi CTP! It’s great to hear that your liking the video. I try and differentiate my content by providing an informative twist - something that you can look back on in years to come.
      That took some work, LU headcodes only exist on NR owned track so tying them up involved looking through a fair few timetables.
      I actually considered putting leading numbers, but 72’ sets aren’t fixed formations so I’d have to get all the numbers from a 6 car set something that I didn’t do whilst at the station. 😞

    • @ChilternTransportProductions
      @ChilternTransportProductions 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      StarlifeStudios Rail Videos No, I think you misunderstood with the head codes. The tube ones are 3 digit codes that are always displayed on the front and rear of tube train consists, something many national rail trains do not do! But at least you can look those up on websites unlike the tube!
      And Bakerloo Line trains are 7 cars, not 6 😉

    • @StarlifeStudios
      @StarlifeStudios  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Arghhh!! I got it all wrong! 😲.Thanks CTP, I'm glad you like the 3 digit headcodes. Like you said, they don't always make those LUL Headcodes public. From what I remember, the Bakerloo WTT is public and that shows those headcodes. As for the trains lengths.. I've got no excuse, I should have watched my own video before I commented 😂 Great to speak with you :)

    • @ChilternTransportProductions
      @ChilternTransportProductions 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Every tube line has the 3 digit head code displayed on both the front and rear driving cars. It’s just none are displayed on sites like real-time trains if they don’t share track with network rail owned lines, which is the only reason the Bakerloo Line ones are displayed on it. It’s so the signallers know it’s a tube train and not an overground or network rail test train
      Nice to speak with you too! :)

    Nice video! For some reason, the community post that you made (Where we try to guess which station is next) didn't appear on my latest posts section. Anyway, Harrow & Wealdstone, definitely a place to get a lot of trains stopping or passing by. But oh boy, the 710s, they're almost everywhere on my local line (Which is the Lea Valley Lines). The Aventras plan to be on the East London Line, North London Line, West London Line and the South London Line (RIP Electrostar/Capitalstar). You could try visiting Waterbeach, a mix of Crosscountry, Great Northern and Great Anglia services (And possibly a few freight trains).

    London Northwestern Railway could operate the Class 350 on the Abbey branch line but I think it's best to keep few Class 319s as they are ideal to operate between Watford Junction-St. Albans Abbey. And the Class 710s are working on the Euston-Watford DC Line as well the Class 378s.

    • @StarlifeStudios
      @StarlifeStudios  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      From what I have seen (and heard) the Abbey Branch needs upgrades to support 350s. I think there is also an idea to get through trains to London. I like the 319s but when compared to the new stuff that will be on the line in a few months, they will look old.
