Of course his genius died with him. But I’m glad Sarah Burton had continued on in her role. Who else would be the right person? Also, I’ve noticed Burton getting more and more confident to strike out on her own in recent years. McQueen the brand is now getting stronger thanks to that boldness.
Sarah burton done good by getting Klein to do this, it's bringing McQueen back into the dark romance style, she's been slipping I feel like by making the brand more feminine and not as avant garde but this is very very on point
I think that's a basic opinion of Sarah Burton's design contribution. A post mortum Alexander Mcqueen whose aesthetic remained the same (consistent) after Lee died would diminish the individual perceptual value of Lee's work, through over sampling Lee's design concepts (recycling old material) on his own brand. Instead, Sarah chose, in part, to sophisticate the aesthetic into commercial concepts that are more easily approachable than(divergent from) Lee's.
um.....but darkness is the overall theme of McQueen. if you look at the descriptions of his shows and what they were inspired by, it's all about the dark side of things.
Ridiculous amount of money spent on nothing.... just like perfume ads, trying to be clever and failing. Spend money on doing some good in the world. This doesnt even promote your clothes
Genius. Kate is giving me David Bowie/Tilda S. tease in this video.
Suggestive and very dark and Moss looks so damn arousing in that outfit..wish it was longer.
This is so hypnotic
I don't even recognize his clothing/collection anymore. When died, so did his artistry and genius.
So glad someone else sees that. Sarah Burton shouldn't be designing under his name, it's irreverent and dishonest.
