7:46 7:47 Thank you Clayton, Spent a week on the Big O. The 2 of us fished exclusively the double jig rig. 1/16 oz top jig with loop knot. 1/32 oz bottom jig with loop knot. 1.1 to 1.3 for us. No split shot. I think but not positive our tails were shorter and thinner. We either caught our limit or close to it 5 days straight regardless of weather. That equals a 2 gallon Bucket slightly over flowing with filets for 5 days straight. We started each day with our 7 tail colors mixing them up the best we could on 7 rods. Specks showed a preference. In 10 FOW you might drag bottom even at 1.3 MPH. BUT your tails are bigger providing more lift and your rod tips are higher. Maybe a wash. Thanks again for showing us the ropes. Oh our spacing was 24 to 34in
Dang that’s awesome, did you catch them in top and bottom? I’m hoping to get out there one day! When did you go?
2/15 to 2/22. Hit the top jig approx. 35% of the time. The trollers will freely share information.
Some Bettle Spin only they troll Slow guessing. 06 mph. Some troll a single 1/16 jig 1.0 mph, whisker slower or faster if necessary. New to trolling but familiar with the area between Harney Pond and Kissimmee Riverish.
Harney Pond was as good as it gets while the Kissimmee River was as bad as it gets. The single pole group either jig or slip bobber were doing excellent around the Tin House Cove area. The biggest hurdle is where is the highest concentration of Specks. Some mix jigs and Road Runners in the troll.
Clayton watch, Lake Okeechobee Smack down! Long Lining for Specks.
ACC Crappie Stix content creator. Note the size of the tails, and Rod positioning. We were casting the rods closest to the motor 15feet behind the transom. Please delete if I have crossed a Tuber line.
Thanks I’ll check it out!
I noticed the top jig was tied up against the main line. I have seen videoes where the top jig is tied to an extention line 6 to 8 inches away from the main line allowing it to run more freely. Also I didn't notice any loop knots being used. A long loop knot on the top jig of 6 to 8 inches in length on the top jig might improve the catch ratio for the top jig. I've had better luck with using loop knots. Just a suggestion.
Thank you I’ll have to try those out!
I do the double rig all the.
You have good luck with them?
Yes. I normally tie the heavy jig up top and put a smaller one on the bottom.
Enjoyed watching.
How long ago was this video recorded?
Specks still out in deep water?
2 weeks ago give or take
Good to know. We have been jigging for them on the edges and doing ok. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the details, you answered several questions I had.
This TV show is 🔥👍🏾🎣🔥👍🏾🎣🔥👍🏾🎣
Thank you man!
Never did anything on double rigs in north st.johns. However have had luck with a swivel with a small willow blade on it about 16inch up from the jig. The flash and vibration turn them on.
Nice may have to try that too, thank you
Thanks for the good videos and info.
Never had luck with a double rig myself when trolling,,,we use it sometimes jigging the weeds and lily’s up shallow and have had luck,,,was out on the north west side of Monroe this am trying out some new color combinations but it was crazy windy and only caught a few so back to the drawing board,,,,tight lines my friend
Speaking of double rigs it matters not weather it's fresh or saltwater it always seems to be the bottom lure that catches the most fish.
But is it worth lol
Oooooo my goodness I love your channel, i fish and garden myself are you on Facebook?
Thank you! So only for personal use anything regarding my channel is only TH-cam right now.
What size rods are you using off of the side of the boat?
I use between 5 and 7ft rods now
Hello, what make and model is your?
I have the link in the description but it’s a prodigy, 1960
Love it, I’ll be out there Monday. So you don’t think the double jig rig is worth it?
Thank you and personally I don’t think it’s worth it
Pink/green and blue/white were the hot colors today. Limited out on Monroe!
