Dark Messiah of Might and Magic | fix crash while playing (less than a minute) *Steam

Hello first time really trying to SPEAK in a video, did it while I was half-asleep :]

This is a god send, I was crashing constantly during the load to chapter 5. This got me past it finally. I dread to think of a day where it becomes nigh impossible to play this gem.
If only someone would actually remaster or just replicate this legendary game

If you have crash at start up here is solution that helped me:
Create a basic user account (Accounts -> Other users then add other user, click on Users, more actions and create new user.
Then Holding shift, right click the .exe which will give a "Run as different user" command, select your created basic user and if that user is not administrator it should work

This tip fixed it crashing after the tutorial but it crashes once the giant breaks the gate. Thanks for the help though. Wish i could still play this gem

I found that if you copy and paste that thing after the intro, you want to remove it and everything seems to work fine.

@@FishyShu Yes i did, you just have to lower the game's graphics so when you come up to load the game, it bypasses the bug.

bro mine crashes right when it gets to the menu and give the error could not get client.dll interface from library

@@FishyShu I played around with the settings a bit.It was about lowering the graphical stats to a minimum before going from chapter to chapter.After that,you can set the graphics back to the maximum values.After all,the game closes sometimes,but very rarely,and you can still play and finish the game without much annoyance on windows 10.I hope it helps someone.
