Kind of a plane-centered day, starting with a trip to Andrews AFB for the arrival of the Kenya President, who was met by the First Lady. Then it was off to Annapolis after a viewer poll recommended that over cake.

Weird unsettling times we're living in. I wonder what the purpose of a Kenya coming over is about? There's always some dealings when it comes to business trips and formal events.
Again, worried about every other country except our own. Enjoyed the welcoming of the President of Kenya & family. So glad that the choice picked was to see the Blue Angels. Love watching them ...love air shows. I love how the secret service is organized. And can’t tell they are armed.
Often, other tactics than using a gun might be more effective. Their number one goal is to shield and evacuate the protectee, and they can do this more easily if they are not holding a weapon. If they shoot at the criminal in a crowded situation, such as a public ceremony, or at a campaign rally, they might risk hitting a bystander, or another law enforcement officer. I've seen National Guard soldiers patrolling in urban areas with long barrel guns, and if they needed their hands in an emergency for some reason, they would be out of luck.

Are you sure it isn't the af thunderbird? Blue angels is navy. Andrew is a afb not navy
They performed above Annapolis, which has the Navy and Marine Corps academy. Both the Naval/Marine Corps academy and Joint Base Andrews (formerly called "Andrews Air Force Base" are located in Maryland.
The Air Force Thunderbirds are white. The Blue Angels are blue.
