To answer your question, I’d like to see him throw a single bleeping pass in the season at hand. Also, ask yourself why you chose laughing emojis if you’re to be taken seriously?
There are at least two other reasons why it is irresponsible and the epitome of unfounded homerism to continuously speak of him in this manner, let alone the fact that not even Shedeur would appreciate being called the #1 pick before it’s earned. No highly competitive championship seeking person would welcome that kind of premature thinking into his thought process.
As for quarterbacks, there’s nothing to compare him against at this point. And it’s possible that any positional player can have an unprecedented season. Heck, there’s a guy on his own team who could possibly have a greater impact on the field.
None of us, including the beloved “Uncle Neely” knows what team will have the first pick. Nor do we know their needs. And you can’t say for certain they’d trade down; because they may covet the best defensive player in the draft. Or our guy, Travis, could seem irresistible as a potential two-way player.
Fans like you, and excessive homerism that doesn’t allow for honest and forthright assessment, are taking the fun out of the discourse around this work in progress.
