The tab you needed to press was in the middle of that bracket about half way in. Your tool of choice was poor. Buy tools when you can.

I think they have a higher temperature tolerance so the fabric doesn't separate in the oven-like temperatures cars can reach in the summer months.
How long did that take? I have a 2003 Honda Accord that could use this "upgrade" , but at almost 73 years old, I'm not sure I'm up for it. Good job, by the way.

He didn't even have to remove whole thing from console. Just slide tool under top and slide just it off
So did you spray your foam piece or just sides and tucks
