Quick tip about li-ion battery. When is left for long time(specialy discharged),the very first charge will be very slow to protect the cell itself. Why is this so addicting to watch?!
Love his videos... Once you start, you can't stop. Be warned!
On that last Switch I could see the Nintendo symbol and then the lock symbol on the lock screen. It was faint but visible.
Yeah, backlight failure is pretty common.
14:14 - That has been bothering me since the beginning of the video.
>stacks them up again exactly as they were before
Lmaooo
Careful now, could've damaged that Fluke!
That would of been insane

As an engineering student focused on electronics in avionics, this is gold! One could only speculate in why those video chips fail, it's almost as they were designed to do it! ;)
Yep...seems like it. It seems to be caused by too much voltage...probably from 3rd party chargers.
Denninosyos Odinson most things today are designed to fail after a couple years electronics are the worst with this
lol 18:30 dude, they already fell once, whyd you stack them up again? you must really like fixing stuff. I used to fix Wii's and 360's some 10 years ago, so your channel brings back some nice memories. Great content! Keep it up!
It builds suspense for the viewer...ha ha! Glad you're enjoying the content...thanks for watching!
You're like a dentist for the Switch, removing that corrosion. :)
This is the most satisfying thing ever 13:24 can you please keep doing that it's sooo awesome
circuit tester:

"yep this one is not working"
Circuit tester:
* *beeps again**
"aaand this one is fine"
Whaat
The type of beep matters
On the capacitors only one side should be connected to ground and therefore beep. So the „tester“ as you called it beeped on both sides of the capacitor and he said „this one is not working“. On the other one only one side beeped.
THE TESTER HAS SPOKEN

when the stack fell my heart did a mario triple jump ! 14:38
Why is it so close to the edge? If it falls 5 times - you aren't learning. Don't tell me it's an edit. No-one is that stupid to make us watch the same thing we can rewind ourselves. This isn't live TV.
@Alexander Sample hahaha...
Gary E. Ko r/woooosh...? Honestly can’t tell if he was trolling or just stupid lol
@@supertommy6422 Actually, mocking the editing style of American videos. It's annoying. Do we need to see the same thing so many times? What about another angle?
@@forevercomputing ah ok, got confused coz you said "you aren't learning anything", thought 'you' referred to the video creator, rather than the viewer
Not interested in fixing things and no idea what you did ... but the video itself was very interesting and looking how you managed to save a few of them.
Suprised i looked the whole video ....
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it.
Oh my God so lucky they fell forward instead of the entire stack backwards towards the floor... 0.0
I think these videos are so cool! It’s very impressive how you know how to do all the things you do! Keep it up! 👍🏼🙌🏻
He has big think
think it like this ....he teaching us how to do!!!
Quick tip about li-ion battery.
When is left for long time(specialy discharged),the very first charge will be very slow to protect the cell itself.
So,the first switch may have a good battery but it needs slow charge first before gun in the fast charge.
REMEMBER,a fast charge to a very discharged cell will cause the cell to permanent damage or even worse, the cell may explode.
Love the videos!🥰🥰🥰
25:12 It works just no backlight.. you can see a very dim nintendo logo
Not really.
yes you are right i think
Outstanding. I think repairing stuff is #$@ing beautiful . Godspeed & Good job!

More of these viewers watching your channel need to be subscribing. Your getting millions of views and it's literally just one press away to subscribe. I've only just found this channel. Those Switches stacked one on top of the other by the edge of the table is giving me PTSD.
I was waiting the entire time for the stack of Switches to fall over.
This channel does not disappoint 😂
This is phenomenal. I never thought we would be in a time and place where we get to watch someone repair small electronics. This is awesome. Thank you!! :D

TH-cam at 3:00 in the night: 'I paid $1815 for 20 broken....'
What's the best way to keep track of all of the screws that come with taking these things apart? I would get them mixed up for sure.
A screw tray or magnetic mat

@kalle kanin Clearly a joke. I put a tongue out emoji in it. I clearly showed I was exaggerating. It's also super obvious that nobody actually cares about a toothbrush. It's called sarcasm. I'm mocking the internet who complain about every tiny thing, but I took it to the next level and complained about something so ridiculous that it can only be a joke. Pretty obvious I thought.

I started watching these kinds of videos today. Never knew how satisfying watching someone fix broken stuff was.
Damn watching things being fixed is so relaxing.
This must be young Anakin Skywalker's favorite channel!
Heretic...this guy could build the Death Star
Just fixed my switch today thanks too this, thank you so much for this video man. The repair shop near me wanted $150!! You earned a sub.
I love watching you work with dental instruments on a Nintendo Switch LOL. As a dentist watching you do your magic, I keep thinking about how fixing teeth is so much easier than working on small electronics!
Hahah, I never hesitate getting my probes into any board, but teeth... nah, i don't deal with teeth. Except on extreme occasions, when i use my knuckles instead of pliers/extractor. On healthy teeth with stupid brains above them.
Your knowledge of the circuitry and board layout of this device is very impressive and enjoyable to watch.
I think the first thing you should do when you open this console is verify the battery voltage. Normally not all phones or tablet or consoles can hold charge for months of being stored. I think you should jump start the battery too.
I was watching the video and halfway I read what was on your shirt.. "If it ain't broke, I'll fix it till it is" it made me laugh
I can’t believe how fast people ruin their gaming consoles, I still have my launch day PS3 in pristine condition with the retail box included.
Anyway, I’m finally gonna buy a Switch; the latest model that just launched this month.
Carl It doesn’t have double the battery, it just has a more efficient chip.
LifelessHawk That’s why I’ve waited this long; the original’s battery was trash.
Salad Mini is trash; no removable joy cons or dock. No, thanks!
Why not buy one of these refurbished units from here?
I have bough a couple broken laptops a while back. You good sir gave me back motivation to play around with them again.

Switches almost fall to the floor. Puts back all switches on the edge of the desk.
Likes to live dangerously.
Your reaction to the Switches falling was so funny. You reflexively reach out to stop them falling off the table and then realised what happened. VL
That must be a hassle., taking it apart again to clean a tiny portion then finding out it was the other side.

TH-cam: Maybe you want to check out this guy that is fixing these Nintendo Switches..
Subscribed! Just stumble across your channel. Love it! I like how you show the fails as well as success! Keep up the great work.
I sold my broken switch, tablet only for.$70. I broke the game card reader. Bought a replacement one, had it installed but it was a dud and then the touchscreen stopped working. Atleast I got $70 for it.....the buyer was aware
$70 isn't bad
But couldn't you just return it to Nintendo or the shop is does that count as accidental damage?

You could probably still use the original battery on the first switch. You would have to apply 5v to the battery to get its voltage high enough for the charge controller to accept it. Thats a trick i learned from Sorin at Electronics Repair School
