    A month ago I bought a used 2016 ninja 650 with 2,700 miles on it as my first bike. I love it. I can move quickly if needed in a pinch and it just moves awesome. Its a perfect bike for me and I am happy with it.

      @@JGarcia-uy7sq yes i do still have it and i commute to work on it just about everyday. I dont think its slow. It does the job for what i use it for. I do want to upgrade but to like the Z900 or KTM Duke 890 R. But thats just cause i personally want a little more power and want to move on from the 650. But thats not to say that the ninja 650 is slow. Its just right for what it is and what purpose it was designed for. I wish i had the new 2020 650 cause those things are nice. I like the styling more than my 2016

    Yeah, it's a fun bike, and it probably won't get away from you.. definitely geared more toward beginners or lighter riders, but anyone can have fun on it. Not sure why you even bothered comparing it to the zx6-r, as that is a beast of a bike for that class, keeping up with liters. The 650r has like 54 hp, while the 636 has literally twice that.

    Is it heavy? idk if I want a yamah r3 or ninja 650 (i know different bikes but offered them in a trade) r3 6.5 k miles and 650 with 8.3k I heard the 650 feels a bit sluggish especially at slow speeds. my main concern is the 460 lb weight 650 has. (im 5'10 and 160 lbs)

  • @badapple65

    I got That engine in my Vulcan S 650. It freaks out my Harley Cousins. One of them was so upset for me the day I brought it home he told me the dealer should take it back with full refund given if less than 24 hours and started sending me used HD for sale listings. He apologized to me after we went on a 150 mile ride together 48 hours after I bought it. We would race side by side starting out in same gear and from different speeds. I smoked him. He then says “My bike (his HD) can pull much more weight”. I asked him what that even means? I should mention I’m over 300 lbs. football player big. Outweigh him by at least 80-90 lbs. so I asked if his pulls more it ain’t pulling little ol him! LOL.
    I LOVE this engine, and bike. I got a weird color too so many people come up to me asking WTH is it?

    • @kylegray1640
      @kylegray1640 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      the 650 is a twin parallel cylinder. the 600 is an inline 4 engine with double the power

  • @dbirds21
    @dbirds21 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Its a great bike. Very fun and very good in the corners. Not the fastest on the block but its very usable power for the average human being. If your riding inside a box, block to block the 650 keeps up with the faster inline4 motors.

  • @Trevor274

    I own a 2014 Ninja 650, and i'm not gonna lie, my favorite thing to do is ride it through areas that my super-sports friends cannot. Oh and the 650 is totally capable of power wheelies in first and clutch ups in second, you just have to load the front up a bit. ;)

    also this bike is deceiving. It can get you in trouble with that torque, especially out of corners. NIce steep curve you take a lower gear gong in and coming out with the torque front tire wants to come up as your still cornering. Bike has more torque than my old zx6r and my fzzr600r

    I have a question about the windscreen. I know that one is adjustable and my question is, do you feel the wind on your chest more? Does the wind come up through the bottom gap? Also, I have only been on a Ninja 250 which I realize doesn't lean forward like the bigger bikes, but it did lean a little and the handlebar was lower...I'm curious as to how the handlebars would feel on the 650 compared to the 250.

    On the serious note... how is the sitting position? Isnt it force you to sit too leaned? I am considering to get one as a daily driver, not sure if z650 (naked) wouldnt be better. Or maybe other bikes like cb 650f or so.

    • @Srkcycles
      @Srkcycles  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +maXXik1337 it's still a sporty position. It not as leaned as a super sport, both the 650f and the 650R are going to be similar. The z650 has dirtbike style handlebars putting them much higher up making it even more comfortable

    I find it to be one of the ugliest bikes on the road. But it seems that everyone that rides them loves their character and performance.

    Is it me or do you do the same exact test ride for every single motorcycle. Just ride to the church and back. That's not a test ride. You need to take her out on the highway and open her up. Not limit her to just city or country streets. How are we supposed to know how good or bad a motorcycle is that way? Like I said, take her out to the highway. I'm sure she'd appreciate it. (Yes, all motorcycles are named after women.)
