Incredibly helpful for anyone working with Altium Designer. Zack's clear and concise explanations make it easy to understand the process of setting up design rules for Via-in-Pad.

Totally agree with you! I already use this option on some projects so it's nice to be confirmed by Zack!

This rule was well hidden aha helpful also when wanting to avoid vias in pads.

Hey, I have a question concerning the organisation of projects within a project group. Let´s say I have three different PCBs that are somehow related. To my understanding, putting them as individual projects within the same project group is the recommended way to organise them in Altium. But how can I establish cross-references between them, e.g. to indicate board-to-board connections? Is there a way to reference schematic sheets of other projects with the sheet symbol? Or by using ports? Thanks for the explanation!

You can't cross reference between two or more different projects, even in the same project group. However, since you bring up board-to-board connections, you can create a multi-board project and that should allow you to track net connections between PCBs as well as cross reference to different PCBs in the same project.
