Totally agree with you .Think it was done during COVID. They recorded their tracks in separate cities (I think). They were not in studio together. It sounds like Chris just laid down his track to Adele's original track. Adele had already released the song when this was offered as a part of bonus tracks in a special release with only limited availability. To release this version after her single/with video had been out for a while doesn't do justice to Chris's talent or what a true duet between these two great talents could have been.
Oh riiight! I forgot this song came about during the COVID era, so that actually makes a lot of sense! Still, I would LOVE to hear them perform a song together, especially live. Because for how this track came out, a true duet between them shows a ton of promise (as expected).
