I use my dicer to make a whole cabbage into coleslaw. It looks a lot like KFC's, but with my own seasonings. My mother-in-law taught me how to make it southern style with mayo, pickle relish, a little vinegar with a couple of tablespoons of sugar dissolved in it, some onion powder, a little mustard, and celery seed.
Whirlpool Corp makes stand mixers for both kitchenaid and Kenmore. I have this attachment and use it with both of my Kenmore elite stand mixers. The regular upright Kenmore elite as well as the newer Kenmore elite ovation stand mixer. All of the other kitchen aid stand mixer attachments also work with both Kenmore elite models.
I love my mother in law..that she is in nursing home with her bodies.. I love your honesty... In certain culture... dumping family in nursing home is like dumping unused items in storage places that you still don't want to throw in the garbage...but still want them occasionally
She’s probably in a community with other people who are in a similar age group who need a round the clock care, not everybody can provide that kind of care to their elderly parents there’s nothing wrong with nursing homes
OMG...I love this machine! Making French Onion Soup tonight and my onions shed no tears or fears! It was slick as a whistle - done in under a minute and it made nice, even cubed onions. I didn't find it flimsy or wobbly - IMO, the cost is worth the lifelong investment in quality. Have you seen the second hand market of old Kitchenaid machines that are still working? I've bought expensive machines that last a couple of years and had to replace them and I have great confidence that the machine and parts are well made. Didn't get it through QVC, but I used their tutorial because I couldn't find my book. TY QVC.
This product seems promising but it ultimately does one function - slice. KitchenAid needs to come out with a "food chopper" attachment so that you can make dips. (Most "food processors" can do both slicing and chopping.)
I just got a kitchen aid and I’m on a binge watching all the attachments… what in the hocus pocus is this. You mean to tell me people don’t dice this with their hands. I’ve been doing it the hard way 🫠 now doesn’t it take more time to change out the attachments and cleaning the processor between items? You wouldn’t be slicing apples and then dicing ham without changing something right?
If it processes the food into a bowl how do you make a pesto and add oil so it mixes together? It wouldn't stay in the bowl like with a regular bowl processor.
See this is why I won't buy a Kitchen aide stand mixer. $170 for an attachment is ridiculous. For half that price you can get a really nice food processor that has a decent sized shoot. There is no reason for an attachment to be that expensive. It doesn't even have a motor in it. The versatility of a kitchen aide is moot when the attachments cost more than a whole different machine that would do a better job.
that does not work for me at all. The vegetables are not really cubes but muddy. and with carrots he always gets stuck and then goes crazy. In addition, there are too many leftovers in it ... I am super disappointed ...
This demo does more harm than good. I can clearly see the results in the bowl smooshy and definitely not nice clear cuts. I’m sure this will make great guacamole...lol. The price is ridiculous for the quality.
We have the Kitchen Aid Pro mixer - the same as the centre one in your display. We also have the food processor you were demonstrating which we have used in the past. However there was a trick to getting the processor to attach to the base. Otherwise, the attachment in the processor will not rotate which is my problem as I've forgotten the little trick to get the motor to turn the shaft on the processor. I even took it to a retail outlet that handles high end commercial equipment and they could not get it to run either. Has anyone else had this problem and can you advise me?
What a mess it made of the cutting! Descimating the ham with food not reaching the blades. Then the way that unit was shaking doing the strawberries too! Talk about bad design. No way thats going to last.
Haha, Kitchen Aid 100 years, and they need to throw it in the bin already. Grandma might think it's great, but it's too slow, and way over-priced attachments. I was surprised when I started looking at this just how pathetic they are... really!

Kitchen aid is owned by Whirlpool and Whirlpool also makes the Kenmore elite stand mixers so all of these hub attachments work with Kenmore as well
Kip Paseo it looks like you’ve stated this already 2 months ago.

Thank you for the video. So awesome.
I have a question: Is this dicer able to dice tomatoes without squishing it?
I don't disagree the attachments will fit MOST KitchenAids but certainly NOT the 80+ pound ORIGINAL 1919 KitchenAid Model H... I have one ;-)
Eu não estou entendendo nada do que estão falando mas é linda está batedeira completa meu sonho de tê-la na minha cozinha 😍😍😍💕💕💕

Thanks for the info. I bought mine just today .How do you julien the red peppers? I could not julien vegetables. They became juice

This is a very good product. I really need to pull mine out more to use.
My favorite part @1:30

Donna Chambless , two words, counter space.
Donna Chambl
I’m all about Kitchen Aid! One mixer/ motor/ power hub, and ANY attachment you may need. Unsurpassed quality!
Oh but Donna, a cheaper food processor will NOT dice.
so true.
sure looks flimsy. see how the mixer wobbles even when just slicing strawberries. :(
That's why her elbow is leaning on the machine to hold it down
I got one. Love it. Has it's purpose. What do u want it for. Dices potatoes and onion like 90.
So this food processor does not mince food... Only slices and chops, right?

Just ordered one today...Most exciting purchase can't wait to eat gormet!
simple mind indeed .

Sirve para hacer mantequilla de maní?
that's not a food processor, that's a dicer
What a mess it made of the cutting! Descimating the ham with food not reaching the blades. Then the way that unit was shaking doing the strawberries too! Talk about bad design.
No way thats going to last.
It looks like a neat idea for some light use and for other attachment needs, but this seems too abusive
Frm I can buy this atteachment .I hv the stand mixer
So is this a slicer/dicer or food processor? Can I make bread crumbs or pizza dough in this?
😮 no dough making through the food processor but luckily it's on a KitchenAid mixer and that's how you make the dough. 😂
I buy two but working at all can tell where go to check why not working do you have Branch in Singapore
I just got one and tried it today.....it doesn't work so far
you sure?
What do you mean? I need more insight to make an informed decision before buying...
:( See the wasted food?
I bet u waste more food than this.
Just get them and chop them with knife. Come on
You probably need to secure the bottom with a third hand while pressing stuff through. Not very balanced or stable.
This looks like a slicer not a food processor to me
Ahh man this guy, such pure BS is rare to witness...
worse design, look how shaky that is .... they just make it look good
This video caused me anxiety.
Why is there no sound?
