  • Laminitis is a common issue at this time of year, especially this year when many horses have been worked less in the early part of the spring. Treating laminitic horses and monitoring their progress can be challenging. Radiographs can provide useful insight into disease progression, but how do we get the most out of the our radiographs and what should we be looking for?

    Wondering why 3 weeks later theres been no obvious farrier intervention ie resection of the dorsal wall to any relieve necrotic laminal pressure and unhelpful biomechanical forces

    Cut off those heels! The long heels of the hoof cause laminitis!
