Nice short concise informative review. I bought one a few months ago. I use it bedside with DIY speakers and passive sub. my fourth and best "chip amp". Thanks.

I am interesting n this Amp. I already have a 24V 10A power supply, can i use it with this Amp? will do a similiar power job as the 32V 5A? And last, please do you know or notice if this Bluethooth 5, is capable of APTX or LDAC transmission (lossless audio) ? A lot of thanks!
hi, thanks for the compliments! With your PSU you would have about 30 watts into 8 ohms per channel and 60 watts into 4 ohms per channel. you can try to use it and if you need more power replace it later 😊
Great amp you can run it at higher voltage like 43v etc but i don't recommend it if you are using all the channels because it will overheat, if you are only using it as a 2.0 amp i think it's fine running it at 40v to get a bit of extra power but it was designed for 36v max for a reason and it's better to stay within that range Very good informative video & review please continue to do these wonderful videos & i hope your channel gets more attention
The TPA3255 would work up to 53.5V, but they chose 50V for the supply caps, and you need some headroom for high temperature. Regarding thermal, they put a heatsink inside a closed case instead of using the case itself for cooling. Therefore 36V is not too conservative.
@robertpolleros478 yes that is true, if you are only using the 2 channels you would probably be fine with running it at ~40ish volts although i would still keep an eye on temps just in case.
@@Random_4400 for stereo only you get the A07 Pro that's specified for 48V ( I ran it off a 52V eBike battery for hours) with more space between knobs.
@robertpolleros478 i wouldn't run it at 52v as the capacitor is only 50v, i might replace the capacitor on mine with 63v one but I'll have to find one with the right dimensions that is also 3300uf.
What was the 36V 15Ah power supply used in this video to achieve the better output from the amp? I have the BT30D pro and would like to get a bit more out of it. Thanks.
Hi man. I used a laboratory adjustable power supply. In AliExpress you will find many power supplies that can fit this amplifier. If you tell me the impedance of the speakers and subwoofer you have connected to them, I can also indicate the ideal amps for your use. (often 15A is not needed)
According to your testing, my boss speakers are within the 10-25% headroom that wanna give for safety, so you don't blow up the speakers, but my sub could use the extra power, as I'm currently always running the sub output knob at full and when I crank the main volume, the sub will turn off and I have to reset the amp? I'm thinking it doesn't have enough juice to operate at the higher end of things.
Please man help me, I need a good advice, all I want is an amplifier that sounds really clear and solid at low volume, I´ve bought a big ass onkyo receiver, a really heavy sansui vintage receiver, an eclipse audio amplifier, all of them are a pain for me, because they sound great but they need to up the volume to shine, at low volume those amps are trash. I just want to listen my music in my rom, no very loud, that even at low volume the sound is clear and rich, that amp I am looking for exists?
@@HiFiCheap Yes they have it, but that feature afects the mids and highs because the bass is stronger, I want to listen music at 1 am and I cant play that volume without annoy my family. Best speakers are the ones you like. Almost any should work with this amp. One thing is that it will perform well with 4 or 6 ohm speakers so that is one help for deciding but 8 ohms work fine.

Did the amp go into a protection mode powering the subwoofer at 2 ohms with the bigger power supply?

Ya, I'm using 2x boss speakers with 100w rms @ 4 ohms rating and a 4 ohm dual coil 10 inch passive sub with a 275w rms rating, but wired to 2 ohms.

That could be the problem, but it could also be an overheating thermal cutout on the amp. You should try writing to FOSI AUDIO and ask for advice.
@@redviking1329 How about use the sub as 4 ohms?
What cable do I need for pre-out to an active subwoofer?
Propably 3.5mm headphone jack to RCA?
3.5mm headphone jack to RCA comes in many flavours. how to know specifically the correct type?
Nice review! One question, do the L R outputs always get full range signal (=no high pass) regardless of sub freq potentiometer?
Yeah, full signal. No high pass.
Does it support Active Subwoofer like SVS SB-1000 Pro?
Bro, I have a 400 and 200 watt rms subwoofer, would they work well with the fosi bt30dpro?
Just got a bt30d pro, and i need some answers. Does it really heatup when idle, no music playing? It gets hot enough you can cook egg on top of it
Just turn it off, when not using it.
@@Njazmo i do turn it off, but on the rare instances that I forget, it becomes a frying pan
Mine too. Not fry an egg but very very warm.
