  • Based in Dorset in the UK, Monkey World is the largest monkey and ape rescue centre on the planet. For nearly three decades, the team has saved countless primates - across 20 countries - from lives of cruelty, abuse, and neglect. This safe haven is now home to more than 200 monkeys and apes. The dedicated staff never stop in their quest to save animals from being mistreated by owners, ending up in laboratories or being exploited in the entertainment industry.

"You're not supposed to inhale it, you idiot." LOL Gotta love Jeremy. He loves those animals so much. Those crotchety comments are just who he is. But the fact is he's dedicated his entire adult life to monkeys, apes, and carrying on his friend Jim's dream along with Allison. They're really good people.

OMG! OMG! OMG! One wouldn't think that the posting of a few 10 year old videos about a primate rescue and rehabilitation center could bring such happiness into one's life! I needed this too... I'm an LADC (Addiction Counselor) and just learned that one of my client's passed away last night and was feeling pretty low. Obviously this doesn't change the fact that they're gone, but it does go a long way in reminding me that there is also still good in the world.

My sympathy Bret Miller. I too am a counselor and have had to learn to cope with my emotions and this series was one of my go to things to help me focus on the good in the human race. I was over the moon when I saw the episodes! I think I actually wnet through my own sadness when I couldn't watch new episodes anymore. Keep your head up Mr. Miller and thanks to the staff and Monkey World!

@C. Bret Miller & Chenoa White....I have a few caches of secret stash of SuperFeelGood that might help y'all slog thru if there are further delays of posting the Monkey World series! I too love, love, love this show! I fell in love immediately from the gitgo S1E1. Jim Cronin was a very special kind of madman, surrounded by others after his own heart, Jeremy and Allison and so many other darlings who also likewise loved the primates and non-primates as well. We need more of their kind in this old, harsh world today! First off is the channel of a gentleman photographer in Hong Kong named Arroz Marisco. He has been faithfully filming a number of troops of wild Rhesus Macaques that live up in the forested mountains there on the island and congregate along the road that winds up there. He has been filming and faithfully chronicled their saga for 8 years now and he has named each and every monkey and baby in each troop and it is all done hands off and with proper respect for the monkeys and their wellbeing. I recommend starting your viewing at the beginning, 8 yrs ago when he was keeping an eye on a BachelorBoy juvenile male who had been very badly injured and had lost his arm. He named him Stumpy. During filming Stumpy he came across and became completely enchanted with an absolutely adorable yet clumsy newborn infant that he named "Dopey". Next stash is the Vervet Forest, filmed at the "Vervet Monkey Foundation", a Rescue, Rehab and Reserve facility in South Africa, by a young man from los Angeles, California named Kyle who began the channel a few years back after he made a documentary during his time there as a volunteer and stayed on as a Staff member. Third stash in a channel named "Kiyo", who chronicles the famous wild troop of Japanese Snow Monkeys at Jigokudani Hot Springs in Japan. Most footage the west has seen about them was filmed by Kiyo. Enjoy!

@PandoraBVV along with Arroz Marisco, are JW, and Monkey's Inc. They all three chronicle Hong Kong's Monkey Hill troops. Each does have their own favorite troops but film others also. I would also recommend them to you and those you recommended AM to. All have the respect for the monkeys to have a hands off approach to the monkeys.

OMG OMG OMG how stupid this all is. These animals sleep on heated floors meanwhile there are millions of children that are homeless and dying of starvation as well as sex trafficked from the same countries where this violent animals are saved from. They could be saving the little boys and girls and using these resources on them. Leave the animals to the wild and save the children

All animals deserve the chance to be what they were born to be. If raised in captivity they should at least have what replicates where they ultimately belonged.

Genuinely asking, this is a repeat from this channel already yes?
I mean I know all these episodes are from years ago but as far as the channel goes, are you guys airing this episode first as sort of like a refresher episode??

People shouldn't keep wild animals as pets. Get a cat or a dog or a ferret or a rabbit or a bird or some fish or a turtle or something. But a wild animal no.

What does da baws-mann mean when she says ( around th' 11:40 mark-) & please note: I'm paraphrasing here
'...[That they'll ]... Be okay as long as the handbags don't come out.'???🙃
I can only assume it's a reference to something occurring in their history prior unbeknownst to me or perhaps some rhetoric that went over my head but still the best of my deductions reduce would be that as something to do with the live animal trade / poaching?? Does anyone know 🙏 have any idea? I guess ideaS, clues, series and / or hunches mmmm or perhaps "an inkling" even??
    😶
