Hey bro you are probably better off using Drum Machine Designer for drums in my opinion, this tutorial is a bit outdated. Here an updated video ✌🏻 th-cam.com/video/H3ZPpGdcAd8/w-d-xo.html
I’m stuck at “create new software” instrument. I don’t know how to find “Ultrabeat”. I don’t have that drop down menu from the track. How do I set that up?
First minute and a half now I see I had to change everything to use it at full potential. Mind blown. It's like why would they design it that way to begin with. It's like selling someone a car without the motor. Thanks for the info. I'm a beginner
if I pay attention (doh!) and rewind, I can catch some basic shortcuts that I didn't know about ~ such as when you said 'control-click' to split a file. I had to watch it over a few times to learn that your alternate tool up top (next to the pointer) is scissors. I hadn't set a second tool before. Thanks! That alone was worth the watch, but the rest of it has been an awesome lesson as a whole.
@@OfficialMZay I feel that I just recently got logic and trying to get back into making music again but find myself extremely frustrated because I grew up with the fl studio in my background so knowing what you want and not being able to translate it keeps getting me lol guess just more practice
Hi there, thanks for this vid its super helpful. I downloaded your template however it still doesn't allow for drag and drop. Do you have any troubleshooting tips?
i imported a snare sample i wanted for the snare track, and when i copy/pasted the midi snare track from the (midi snare track i was using) into the drag/drop samples track (of that snare i wanna use), there was no sound at all ???
I wondering if anyone can help. I bought some third party sample packs, when I preview in logic, samples sound great and loud but once I drag the samples to the arrange window it loses about 80 % of it's volume. What am I doing wrong ? Thnks
Hi. I’ve been using logic for about 10 years and have almost never ever used Apple loops. I’ve almost exclusively used sounds from external sources. Anyway logic x hassles me to download Apple loops content cause I never downloaded it. Is there anyway of getting the message to stop every time I open up logic x? It’s annoying. Thought you might have a tip. Peace!
I imported all my sounds, but when I went to another kit everything I imported erased. Is there a way to import the sounds and save it as a logic file specific to that kit? I dont want to upload everytime I want to use logic. Unless there is an alternative way than drag and drop sample
Now with Logic Pro X 10.5, you can use the awesome Drum Machine Designer to just drag / drop any samples to pads. DMD also has way better sample editing function right there in the interface. And then you can save your new custom kit for easy recall for any project. Peace! Here's a decent description of the functionality: th-cam.com/video/hwY6j2VR4PU/w-d-xo.html
Hey CJ, is there any way you could do a video on how to get TrackGod sounds (specifically The Big Bang Theory pack) to run in Logic? I just bought this thing and the sounds won't load on my TrackGod 2 AU. I should note that I have everything on an external drive as well.
CJ Good looks on this. Not sure if it's something from my end, but when I load the second sample, all the keys on my MIDI only play the first sample. Thoughts?
@@CJBeatzProductions I had ended up finding it how do I get drag n drop I got a beat pack I thought I could just drag it to ultrabeat but it's not landing

Really depends on where you got them from and what the terms are. Normally terms are all included in the files you download or posted on the product page. For files that you download from freakquincy.com for example, if you are releasing music through an independent label, there are no credits or publishing splits required, however, let's say you land a deal with a major label like Warner Brothers, Universal etc. using any of our midi, loops or sample packs, we would require a production or co production credit plus a fair share of the publishing and other royalties.
If you want to trackout your drums using this technique you can do so by selecting "1 file per channel strip", I actually discuss this in this tutorial here: th-cam.com/video/BVAHXH-fzwY/w-d-xo.html

The multi output for the drums, after you create the drums on that one track is there a way to separate them into their own individual tracks to create for example I have rolls or rolling snooze?

i hear ya, I'm just purely showing what Logic can do. I also am on Battery 4 to manage drums. Honestly, in the past when I upload tutorials using 3rd party plugins, people complain because they say they dont have the money, so I chose to make tutorials that everyone can follow. But this is the 3rd person to mention adsr manager, gonna check that one out, thanks for the input.
CJ Beatz I hear that, adsr can be a little cpu heavy though for some reason btw. Love you content though man...taught me a lot about logic especially when I first started out using it. Glad to see you back! 💪🏾
You are 100% right, the browser needs alot of work. It should be easier to find and select sounds no matter what file type, bit depth etc. I hope to see that improvement soon!
I don't have a drag and drop button on my ultra beat plugin?

does logic pro x allow you to create a folder to save all your drum samples for you to browse like fl studio?

thanks for the video! if you use this method, how do you control the hi hat pitch? Is it possible with this?
So pretty much based off of this sample you can make a whole en beat and then arrange it??? That easy
drum machine designer does this efficiently if you have a midi controller with pads
I don't have the drag & drop option in my ultra beat, why is that ? I enabled everything before like you said
gotta go download the template for ultra beat in the bio
