My teacher in fourth grade turned her room comfy and had these rolling desks and a lot of these things and we only had like 10 desks and mostly flexible seating and I loved it so much.
OMG I haven’t checked on this channel for a couple of months and now you have 100k CONGRATS Who else was here since 10k and knew she was going to blow up ⚫️
I just wrote a grant for that exact flex table and flex chair accents because I saw it on your page! My kiddos love learning outside of their traditional desks and this was the PERFECT thing! Thanks for sharing! Wish me luck (:
my hands down all time favorite teacher is my english teacher, and she also does flexible seating. we have a mini couch, we have these plastic lawn chair things that are so comfortable, we have mini stools, we have like 4 bean bag chairs, and we have 10 wobble cushions that we put everywhere. i love flexible seating because we do a lot of independent learning and small group stuff and we can be super relaxed and i love it
I'm curious as to how flexible seating would work in the high school level, particularly with the louder classes. I really want to try with my students but I'm nervous because they may get out of control.
I wish this was an option in elementary school. I think about as 'flex seating' we ever had was the desks were all crazy different heights and the chairs were all different because something about how my school didn't have the same kind of desks. but to have that kind of seating would be amazing! I woulda been one of the wobble kids. LOL
I love flexible seating! Makes me so jealous we don’t have Lakeshore Learning in Canada 🇨🇦. 😭😭😭 I’ve looked into shipping and exchange rates and it’s soooooo expensive. Congrats on being an embassader, you spend so much on your classroom to make it special for your students, I’m glad Lakeshore chose you!
I have seen some of these products at the school i work as a sweeper at. I love the wobble cushions because they dont get in my way when im vacuuming the classroom. Edit: i vacuum classrooms at an elementary school as my job
Hi there, I watch your videos and you are a very inspiring teacher. I really have enjoyed to a lot of your organizational tips as well. I really liked your video on flexible seating and the advantages of having it in the classroom. My only concern is that I’m on a very tight budget because I just moved to a new state. We do have a lakeshore learning that I plan to visit. May I ask about how much you spent on the seats needed to do this.
I've been trying to implement working around the room in my class and it's been a huge headache. I love the idea of releasing students who are working hard. I'll try that tomorrow!
I was that kid that would always lean my chair back. My teacher gave a stool just like the wobble chair except without the wide bottom so that if I didn’t have two feet on the ground at all times the stool would fall over.
I wish so badly they had these when I was in school. It would’ve saved my life lol I would get some for work but then people would look at me crazy lol
Love your videos so much Michelle I've been watching your videos since the beginning of this school year.. even tho I've been out of school for 5 years still very much enjoy your videos ♡♡
I’m a student and I would benefit from the wobble chair cause I have ADHD and I can’t do hw without getting distracted or getting up or I can’t focus in school. Also I would benefit from the bouncy ball chair too
I haven’t read all the comments but I am experimenting with Flex Seating. I have 10 stools and 3 lap desks. No fights in the last 2 years. I tried balance balls and wobble cushions and they popped them all! Also another question, what about Love with especially the bean bags? How did you find your flex seating?
One of my elementary teachers had a bean bag but after like a month she had to get rid of it due to it being a fire hazard even though she had had it since she had started at my school
I guess I'm just different. I would have hated those types of seat options. I worked best with a desk and regular chair. I cringe when I see a classroom with all random, wacky, and no regular chairs and then they have the kids pick their seats every week. I would have stressed out especially since I'm a W and use to being last of the line.
Do you have a template of your flexible reading schedule you mentioned in your video? My school bought a variety of flex seating for each class and the kids love it!
I have a daughter with ASD she has a wobble cushion for school which Works well for her and I am debating if I should get her wobble chair. What would you suggest ?
My teacher has all of those products but from amazon. I am in 5th grade. We all love and fight over the seats because each day we move around the seats each day. Amazon holds up to, But I have been to lakeshore and theirs work so much better.
Do you teach an inclusive classroom (typical students and SPED students)? I just noticed that all the flex seating is sensory-based, I'm in the OT field just for frame of reference
Thanks for this! Also thanks for answering my question on Facebook. I watched most of this then asked the question on Facebook...guess I should have watched it all lol
I'm from Australia and I was wondering is there a way I could order them online to my house? Or is it only in America that you can get these different furniture pieces
Amelia The Australian scout Lakeshore doesn't ship overseas, but there are school supply places here in Oz. The best one I've found is Modern Teaching Aids. Their website is teaching . Com . Au (Obviously remove the spaces, I just don't want my comment flagged as spam)
Those are from Dollar Tree! The storage containers they carry change depending on the season but I got these baskets about a year and a half ago! They typically carry a lot of them during back to school time so make sure you keep an eye out! I would link them but I can't find them on their website... sorry!
+Pocketful of Primary Ms. Michelle , When do the academic days end for you all this school year ? I bet you all are getting well done in that classroom this year . - Dwight
I’m the student telling others to put the legs of their chair down even though I have adhd because I also babysit and almost had to catch a kid falling
They are from Target! Kind of expensive though... $15 PER letter... one of those purchases that is super cute but I probably could have used the money more efficiently in hindsight.
My big brothers mom came up with the wobble chair idea but someone stole the idea and decided to make it. a month later they were being soled in Amazon by a idea stealer

I just turned in my term paper on Flexible Seating options in classrooms! You inspired me to choose the topic ♥️

Geez I haven’t watched in a little and your hair is super long now! And you have 100k!! I’m so happy for you!! Love you!
I'm curious as to how flexible seating would work in the high school level, particularly with the louder classes. I really want to try with my students but I'm nervous because they may get out of control.
Look at 5 foot 1 teachers channel, she teaches high school and has the most beautiful flexible classroom I've ever seen
I wish they had these in my middle school class instead of the hard seats!

I love flexible seating my social studies teacher has it and I love it. I would totally recommend to other teachers.
In my fourth grade classroom a yoga ball was on our supply list as an option and we got to sit them all year it was so fun!
Waking up early on a Saturday, was so worth it!

Amazon has a lot of options as well!!
You explain things and topics SOOOO well
I can't wait to use flexible seating in my future classroom😍❤️

I love your teaching skills because your a very calm teacher and I’m a student and my teachers are not always the nicest
So I’m in 6th grade and my fifth grade teacher did this and I loved it and it helped so much
I've been trying to implement working around the room in my class and it's been a huge headache. I love the idea of releasing students who are working hard. I'll try that tomorrow!
My 2nd grade teacher had flexible seating and it was so much fun
I love your videos I watch you every day and night
We have standing desks at my school and they are the only thing that keeps me going.
Great teacher . Great options. Bravo.
Thank you so much for this video! Do you have a video of how you introduced flexible seating and rules?
It’s been nearly a year ! Can we PLEASE see a townhouse tour PLEASE!
You seem like an amazing teacher! I wish I had you as a teacher in my younger days lol
You inspire me so much that I would like to become a teacher! I’m only 14 but if I become a teacher I want to be like you. Awesome class!
Did you ever become a teacher?
@@satealwhite9738 they’re only 18 so probably not yet
I love it. I wish my teachers would incorporate flexible to are classrooms. 💕❤️💙💛
You are amazing, such an inspiration for me to (hopefully) become a teacher!

love your flexible seating. I teach Pre-k and will definitely try your ideas

There is a brand called jadelynn brooke and they just came out with a current mood with a sloth hanging off of it. I think that you would love it!!

Every teacher's dream!!!
Thanks for this! Also thanks for answering my question on Facebook. I watched most of this then asked the question on Facebook...guess I should have watched it all lol
