Hi! I really liked your video! I have a question... I haven’t read anything from Jennifer before and I just got gifted the book of “ From Blood and Ash”, can I read it by itself? I mean, do I have to read any of the other books of Jennifer before getting into this book or it is a separate story? :) I would really appreciate it your help!
I had only read the Lux series by her and had no problem reading From Blood and Ash or the sequel! As far as I know, this trilogy isn’t connected to any of her other books. Hope this helps! :)
You can read FBAA by itself!! FBAA is the first book in the Blood and Ash series and was actually the first book I read by JLA (and what got me hooked to her writing 🥰)!! If you enjoy FBAA and the rest of the books in that series (A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire and The Crown of Gilded Bones) you might want to check out her new book, A Shadow in Ember, releasing this fall!!! It’s not going to be part of the FBAA series but it is set in the same world!!
