It's both. Because playing a back three requires highly technical players because if the opposition plays a forward three any mistakes can lead to a goal.
Why dont England just play like this? They have the perfect inverted RB (trent), ball playing defenders (stones, walker), a ST that likes to drop (kane), two quality attacking mids in foden and Bellingham. Pace and quality on the wings (if he ever plays a LW) The only weak links really would be Pickford who I'm not sure is the best ball playing GK and natural LB with Shaw injured.
trent sucks as inverted fullback, in liverpool he starts as a normal right back and is just when salah or other player has the ball and the ball is 20 or 30 meters ahead of him just then he tucks in the middle, but not as a double 6 more as a drifting player on the outside channel of midfield so in case game went backwards/towards him he'd be there to just hit long switches of play towards robertson or very direct high passes towards mane and salah who made runs. But aside of that his ball retention ability sucks and you can see it in this euro in the games he played as double 6 (it's because he's not used to play under pressure). And I say this as liverpool fan.
@@mariadanielalavia8877 I think Trent would be fine, as you say, once play has moved up to the attacking zone, Trent can drift inside. I'm not suggesting he be in the middle in his own zone, as you point out he does struggle there receiving possession with his back to the opposition's goal under pressure, I'm suggesting he inverts once we have possession in the opposition half, as you point out how he operates for club. His switch play would be fundamental in an aggressive front five of foden, Bellingham, kane, and an out an out LW and RW (we have to move to single cm holding, rice, to support this, which means we need the RB to invert for the double pivot shown in the video, or we could try LB seeing as our LB isn't left footed anyway). Walker as RCB stones LCB, walker moving out to the wide CB will feel quite natural for him, stones is quality and will be in central CB. In general though, England's build up is shocking as we need runners in behind to try create space between their lines, two aggressive pacey wingers will help create the space for foden, Bellingham and kane to operate. Or swap kane for a ST that'll run in behind, like Toney. But with runners, you need passers, hence Trent would help. This is how I would set up anyway, open to suggestions.
Inverting the full back not ideal when you have full backs who can whip in good crosses into the box, instead it's better to just let winger go inside that way you play with 2 10's like what he wants.. This kills the time of having full backs train as midfielders since it's a totally different role 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️ all in all, I'm not down for this tactic at the moment

Don’t like this. Cms got to much offensive responsibility and more often they lack creativity there. Wings go unnoticed many times with this formation.
this channel is teaching fifa kids that think it's about the player quality instead of the manager's tactics
😂😂 agree
Well, it’s both my friend. Did Burnley got relegated because of poor tactics by Kompany or because of a poor squad quality?
@@skinindagame_ yea weak squad

No man players matter looking his tactics the CB needs great ball control , one mistake and then a goal

Fofana Adarabioyo Colwill
James Enzo

Madueke Nkunku Mudryk
How i see Chelsea setting up in this system

Or it’s a 6 vs 3 on the transition and the other team walks it into the net as we’ve seen in preseason
At least we've scored in all our games
