I really like this version, nearly clashing with my likeness of Juno's version... yet is that fair? Juno's version leans more into his “In-character”/ “canon” version, making it still feel familiar, yet sad. Yours leans more into a “depressive” version of Luigi, which I feel fits more, since Mario was his spark, his fuel to fight. And without him, he WILL die where he stands, he vows to be with him; even if it costs his life. It's unfamiliar, and very depressive Luigi has given up everything. In conclusion: Juno's version leans more towards light-hearted and canon characteristics, while yours leans towards the humanistic version, how a real person who is attached would react when they lose them.
