Always consult with your health care professional, but I have used these exercises personally when working with clientele who had bulges and other spinal stability issues. I'd recommend introducing them slowly and try taking targeted breaths into the area of your spine that you're dealing with pain.

Should the twisting be done if we have foraminal stenosis? Most likely from being in extension all the time.
Start with small ranges of motion to begin and you can increase it over time as the pressure on the nerves begin to release.
