The Flora dress is finally finished! It took 58 hours to make. 30 of those hours were spent cutting and sewing the appliques and adding the beads and crystals. In part 4, 5 and 6 I will show you how I decorate shoes to go with it, make the headpiece, and style the wig, before I reveal the final styled look. You are such an artist, I'm so amazed by your work ! I'm getting married in october in shaa Allah, I already sewed the dress and I was thinking of adding some flowers on it, this video will definitly be an inspiration for me thank you so much for sharing this moment with us. Kisses from Paris
Rockstars and Royalty Thank you so much, I will send you a picture on your instagram account just so you can see what you've inspire me to do. Take care of you ❤️
WOW! Fantastic! and those adjectives barely begin to describe this beautiful dress! I love your attention to detail! I am an experienced seamstress, and have made costumes, but I do not have a design degree and it takes me a bit to wrap my mind around the design and figure out how to make what I am inspired by. I am currently looking for ideas on how to make a sequins overdress layer for a simple A-Line gown my daughter purchased for her wedding. The gown is the "shell" which I want to add some glitz and glamor to with a layer of iridescent sequin fabric. Thank you for sharing your design - it just gives me inspiration to begin the process and watch it as it morphs into the finished design. I did subscribe to your channel - thank you again for sharing your artistry! and hello from the East Coast USA! (love your accent too!)
Thank you. I'm so happy that you feel inspired after seeing my work. Being able to sew definitely helps if you want to get into fashion design, but it's not essential. There's some great beginners tutorials on TH-cam if you want to give it a try. Check out With Wendy - she's just started doing a sewing basics series. Hope that helps 💓
Can you also please show us how do you sew the bodice to the skirt ? I think it’s hard to do because the skirt has lots of layers. Thank you so much for showing us💕🙏🏻😊
Hi :) love the video. Quick question, can the tulle hold the weight of the appliqué flowers easily? I’m wanting to add floral panels to the skirt of my wedding dress, from the waist down. But was worried if the top tulle layer would hold them? I’ve given it a good tug and it’s good quality tulle, but I would hate for it to rip. Thanks :)
I love your style, it's so beautifully creative and fresh! I'm new to sewing evening type dress wear and am puzzled as to why you need the 4 layers in the skirt? Wouldn't the satin be enough, is the lining necessary??
You can omit the lining if you want to. I include it as it finishes the inside of the dress and hides all the seams. I like the inside of my gowns to be as beautiful and as finished as the outside.
I have a request can you make this into a mermaid style gown with poof tulle bottom. Using the flora embroidery over the sequin.I started thinking how cool this dress would be as a fit and flare or mermaid. I’ve already started working on one bc this inspired me, Only I Am using pink fabric dress /sequins instead the white. I absolutely love this dress design. You’ve greatly inspired me but I swear I want to see you do it! I know it would look stunning
Oh that would be beautiful. I'll add it to my ideas list. I'm so happy to hear that I've inspired you to create a gown. I love the sound of the pink. Please tag me on social media when you're finished - I'd love to see it. Have fun making it 💖
Thanks for the thumbs up and for subscribing. There's links in the description to where I bought the floral tulle, appliques, and sequin fabric. The pearls and crystal beads are all Swarovski. I use beadcharm.com.au for crystals. They're based in Australia. There's lots of online retailers for Swarovski crystals so you'll be able to find someone close depending on where you live. For non-Swarovski flat back crystals I use Pandahall - www.pandahall.com/flat-back-rhinestone/533-1-half-round_1253-hotfix-rhinestone_4898.html?size=96 Hope that helps. Happy sewing 💓

Very hard work
It was a lot of work, but totally worth it
When you sew on the appliques...
What type of needle do you use because of the sequins?
Do you sew through all the layers of corset?
beautiful work! i just subscribed!!
Thank you 💖

Thank you. I'll be making more dresses and videos soon 🙂
Did you paste these chiffon flowers or you sew them into the dress ?
Your dress is beautiful. I love the design! I have to ask, where did you buy all your floral appliqués?

What types of material flower u use
I used a mixture of embroidered and chiffon flowers
Vicky, was this for anyone or an event in particular? Or for you?
Just for showing the process in the videos. I still need to organise a photo shoot with it!
Use sew tht flower or use glue
Everything is hand sewn. I only use glue for the flat back crystals which can't be sewn on.
