Amen. You are most welcome. Psalm 73:24-26 24 Thou wilt guide me with thy counsel, And afterward receive me to glory. 25 Whom have I in heaven but thee? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides thee. 26 My flesh and my heart faileth; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion for ever.
I was like a BEAST before Thee! The old nature is still there, the battle is real, nevertheless HE is continually with me. Washed in HIS blood, clothed in HIS righteousness. In the great and the little GOD reigns
When God's love is clearly revealed to the individual for he has become obedient to His Word, the grace of God and Savior Jesus becomes very evident as it is in this individual, one of the greatest promise keepers of the Almighty, the Honorary C.H. Spurgeon. O Lord help me walk under your feet so that I may live in only Your ways.
"Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin...For behold. I was formed in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me..." "Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done that which is evil in thy sight; for Thou will be justified in Thy reproof, triumphant in Thy judgments." "Cast me not away from Thy Presence; and take not the Holy Spirit from me. "Create in me a clean heart, O Yahuah, and renew a right Spirit in me." {PSA51} Thanks for the video Brother!
Oh, my life is nothing but a trail of black blots. So afraid have I been that Thou wouldst pluck me from your hand. My iniquity is beyond compare, but You love me even as the worst beast. You will not let me go. Help me to have more faith in this lover of the least!
"Continually in His hands, so that none shall be able to pluck me from them until Omnipotence itself shall be overcome!" In other words, never. No one will ever be able to take from Jesus those the Father has given Him. John 10:29 "My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand." I do appreciate your comment and am very glad you apparently listen closely and ponder the things you hear. Thank you...may the peace of God be with you.
Psalm 73:22So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee. 23Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand. 24Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. 25Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.
He says, David "is completely weaned from looking within". This so much speaks to today's world where "going within" for answers is so huge via the new age nonsense that so many of us (like me) get trapped in until Jesus has mercy and saves us from that lie. Sadly, I hear Christians and even "pastors" putting forth this devilish doctrine. Thanks so much for these Spurgeon sermons. Your voice and manner of reading does him justice, too.
Charles Spurgeon Sermon playlist: th-cam.com/users/view_play_list?p=CDB844A9113F938C Charles Haddon (C.H.) Spurgeon (June 19, 1834 January 31, 1892) was a British Reformed Baptist preacher who remains highly influential among Christians of different denominations, among whom he is still known as the "Prince of Preachers." In his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to around 10,000,000 people, often up to 10 times a week at different places. His sermons have been translated into many languages. Spurgeon was the pastor of the New Park Street Chapel in London for 38 years. In 1857, he started a charity organization called Spurgeon's which now works globally. He also founded Spurgeon's College, which was named after him after his death. Spurgeon was a prolific author of many types of works including sermons, an autobiography, a commentary, books on prayer, a devotional, a magazine, and more. Many sermons were transcribed as he spoke and were translated into many languages during his lifetime. Arguably, no other author, Christian or otherwise, has more material in print than C.H. Spurgeon. Ya I liked it as well but he said something that disturbed me."Til omnipotence itself be overcome" is that in scripture somewhere because he is saying til God be overcome seeing that God is the omnipotent one.I listened to it over and over to know I heard right it's 31 min.into it.Im thinking he made a mistake in what he said and meant to say.
Thanks for your comment. However, I just read the following on Wikipeda regarding Psalm 73: "Scholars have determined that a psalm's attribution to Asaph can mean a variety of things. It could mean that the psalms were a part of a collection from the Asaphites, a name commonly used to identify temple singers. Another possibility is that the psalms were performed in the style or tradition of the guild bearing Asaph's name. Asaph himself is said to either be the author or the transcriber of these psalms for some say that he may not have said these psalms but rather that he transcribed the words of David." Whomever the true author may be, my guess is that scholars during Spurgeon's day must have believed the author was David. God bless.
So its a figure of speech?Doesn't sound like a very good one and the way in which he delivers it.Usually the Bible makes figures of speech plain.Like the idioms:rock, river, bread exe.I find in the analasis of the text that the holy spirit is very "punny"

This was great, but just to be clear the psalm was not written by david; It was written by a man named Asaph who was a levite of the temple.
