I do that with boat plugs. You only need to get 2.5hrs from anywhere that sells boat plugs one time to realize you should have one riveted to the hull on a thin cable lol
I wouldn’t need one on the Texas coast, but I love the thought that went into this build. It has me thinking about a cart for surf fishing though. Ice fishing is on my To-Do list though.
Jake. Classy design and clean small welds. Looks sweet. Lots of guys with good ideas, some Frankenstein, some heavy. This looks light to pull. I have the same Jet Sled and can't find similar adjustable rod holders on Amazon. Would you mind providing the link or brand for the rod holders? thanks, Darren
Thanks man! That’s awesome, I realized I had a lot of red stuff and after I scored the the red skis I went with it! Now I have to get rid of my clam tent and buy an Eskimo😂
@@jakezink1289 almost a year later i gotta follow up and ask how it all went? I just noticed that your pistol bit is mounted without the drill on it. Did that configuration end up changing?
You could drill a hole on your pin above the jet sled for the shovel pin and run a cotter pin and a thin washer then you will not lose them also just a thought bud.
Hi there,Evening Jake sir. Very nice & clean looking mods. Would've been nice to see better view of pin mount for shovel (without shovel in the way) & maybe a parts list listed in the description. Curious how has the setup held up? With the propane auger was it too heavy to mount?
Well done
Some cool new ideas nice
Run paracord or wire to your pins tapped to sled never lose em! Love the set up man clean

Nice job...i went with red/black on mine too
Amazing -Did you fabricate the tubing and ski mounts? Trying to re-crate this beauty.
Very nice brother!
How did you attach the light with straight screw angle. I have the same light but cannot figure how to make the screw straight
Very nice set up!
Very nice work!
Nice with all the bells and whistles
Thank you.
i like the light on front of sled where did you buy it
I like the sled you built . Interested in that
Spot / Flood light , what brand is it???

How did you build your skis
Drill a small hole next to the spring clips then use some 550 cord to dope rope it to the sled. There's no chance of dropping/ losing them.
what kind of ski brackets are those, they look nice
On that light - battery operated freeze ratings??

Smooth! I will never use one, i live in texas. But talk about cya. Did you make the skis also?
Where you get the spotlight from
Great idea about gopro bud
Nice video dude
excellent setup, how did you build the black fixed 3 rod holders on the side?
I bought them.
What kinda frame leg did you use to attach to the ski
Got them off an old fan I had in the shop. Just cut, welded, and modified them a little.
Ummm, so how deep are you rod handles below your reels? Mine are like an inch or two. Seems like they'd fall out of those holders, no?
Trevor sir,You can put a tiny size bungie cord, paracord etc to hold them from bouncing/falling out.
Do you have the link to the adjustable and the three rod holders?
Thanks
Ok someone tell me how to keep your phone from freezing. Neoprene wrap maybe?
What weight capacity did you get from this rig?
Parts list?...y I am a pain
Excellent .
Great build. Whats the name of that light on the front? Is it rechargeable?
Not sure got it on Amazon. Yes it’s rechargeable and it also has a USB port so you can change devices!
Jake sir,What did the light run you?
GOOD SHIT MOE !
Great workmanship, clever ideas. Now invest in a tripod for your phone, youre giving me a headache.
