I enjoyed watching you stitch and talking about the wedding and your visit to the Chicagoland area. I have lived in the Chicagoland area my entire life (except my 4 years in college). I actually used to work in Naperville and visited the downtown Naperville area often. I love their Riverwalk area. I have also dropped a lot $$$ at Tomorrow’s Heirloom over the last few years. It is such a cute shop. Congratulations to your son on his nuptials!!
You guys are the best. Love that Charlie,he’s so beautiful. My granddaughter is an ICU nurse in the VA hospital in Pittsburg. Liz you are so funny,ever think of doing standup comedy. You two are so blessed to have each other.

I'm looking at the little rocker in the background of this video knowing that soon enough there will be a little bundle to sit beside you when you stitch, Deb. I'm nearly done with my first piece in way too many years. I resorted to surface embroidery for a basket in the scene (basket weave) and satin stitch for the child's hair. Planning to do turkey work for Santa's beard and use whisper for the fur trim on his suit. It called for some metallic threads too and likely I will embellish with a charm to complete because why not! I am thinking that I will continue but the trouble is I cannot decide what to do next! I had to chuckle. I found Tomorrow’s Heirlooms completely by accident.I was visiting my kids and grands in Wheaton and decided to go to Trader Joe’s. I went through their parking lot to get to a light and as I waited for traffic to clear, I looked across the street and spied the Tomorrow’s Heirlooms sign… I have been back several times and cannot wait to go again. So happy that the wedding went well. Keep on stitching.
My husband shared a story where back in the day... 1950s ... his mom wanted to string popcorn for the tree. So all the kids made the garland and decorated the tree. The next day they all woke up to a gang of mice enjoying a Christmas snack! I enjoy when you guys share your stories. Happy Stitching!

Wonderful to watch another video from you two. Glad you had a wonderful trip. My husband and I love road trips. We traveled for three weeks in the Northeast this past September. Liz, I couldn't help but smile when you where talking about the DQ. I was amazed at the Dunkin' Donuts in the North east. Even found one in the capital building in MA. Liz, we bought the Casper Mattress from Costco. It's absolutely the best mattress we have ever had. It's memory foam but also stays cool. I have sciatic and hip pain and degenerative disc disease in my lumbar spine. I also sleep with TWO german shepherds. I think you would love it.

It may be the reason for all the dancing…well a good looking 27 year old young man didn’t hurt. Don’t think Rick would go for a new mattress AND a 27 year old man both! I would go for the new mattress. At 69 years of age, I think I would go for the mattress!!😂😂😂 Deb, I am sorry you fell ill but you still had a blast. I am so glad. Oh I could just eat up Charlie. He is adorable. It was nice that he could go on the trip with you. I worked on some appliqué for a quilt while I watched today. I love listening and watching both. Going to load up a bunch of needles for a cross stitch project I am working on so I won’t have to thread needles while I am doing my chemotherapy tomorrow. Sometimes it is nice to have something to stitch where you don’t have to change thread colors. If you don’t do a Flosstube before Thanksgiving, wishing you and your families a glorious time together. Did this year go into warp speed or what? Looks like we will be getting some much colder weather and some snow. Not looking forward to it. Our neighbors just got back from Disney World Sunday. We had a light dusting of snow during the night. They said they left in 70 degree weather and came back to freezing cold North Central West Virginia. A shock to their system. blah, blah, blah Don’t know why I told you all that. I guess I felt like I was still sitting and listening to you all and had to contribute.😂😂😂 ❤️🪡🧵❤️

I was born and raised in Wheaton and my grandfather owned a laundry, dry cleaner in Glen Ellen. I love that area. My family and the laundry is gone now but I have fond memories of my life in that area. Have a great day stitching. Hugs Barbara
The foam mattresses are nice at first but over time they don't hold shape very well and the sheets come off the corners. I have back injuries as well and we recently bought a sleep number. It's fantastic! 10/10 would recommend over the foam beds. Have never slept better! Love your shenanigans! I needed a new project so I started a mill Hill while I watched today. Thanks for the stitch with me today!
My daughter lives in Glen Ellyn. When ever I go to visit her I try to go. Her mother in law is a stitcher,so we go together. I love that place. I wish I would have been there when you were. I would have loved to meet you both.

My daughter goes to Kent and the bus will pick them up on campus and take them to downtown. My daughter has a car there and will dtill take the bus not tons of parking in town. We like going for parents weekend walk around the shops stop in one of the places and get something to eat. Great little town.
When l saw your flosstube, was just going break up peanuts for my birds, mostly Chickadees. So instead of stitching did that. I’ve been stitching with you. I started the Nativity from Finally a Farm Girl. Since I live in Decatur, IL and we have a Cooper’s Hawk in Springfield, It is one of our favorites. Now I have to go because my wonderful husband has called me to dinner and he cooked.
Long before the blizzard was (and is) the concrete. The one I knew was from Ted Drewe's in St. Louis. They are made with frozen custard and many options for add on flavors. They opened their first store in 1929, long before DQ. One of them is open to sell trees at Christmas time. They have only outdoor counter service with no indoor seating.
I feel such a connection with you both. I love that you are great friends and look out for each other. Love the cross stitch of course. I have a golden retriever who is the love of our lives. And my men - husband, two sons and close friends have a cabin in Lake George NY where they hunt from all season. Love your lives and mine too. ❤️❤️

I have a horrible back too..I use a memory foam topper with a down topper over that, it works wonderfully. Love your stitching and chatting.. wish i was there with you.
You both talking about getting real trees and previous visitors appearing later reminded me of the one year I came downstairs the day after decorating the Christmas tree to find snails across my lounge. 😂

Liz, one tip I have for the memory foam topper is to make sure you get one with a cool 'touch' to it. I sleep hot (I'm 55) and I got a foam mattress with a cool top, and I still was dying from heat with the special mattress pad they sold me for 99$. So I sleep with a thinner fitted sheet and no mattress pad and I feel much better and cooler!! Hope that helps!!😸

Liz, I was like that at quilt shows, “have that, got that, have that, have that” etc. That is because we are seasoned stitchers/quilters. The Memory foam mattresses are nice. Get the thicker one. 4”

Have either of you heard of or seen a "My Favorite Needle! " for beading ? It was manufactured by Mardina Enterprises, Talahassee FL. , they are no longer in business. I used that needle for all my stitching including beading and loved it!... until one day I ran out of thread and was getting up from my Lazy Boy to answer the phone (that is how long ago it happened) when I stuck the needle into the front of the arm to hold it until I got back and inadvertently pushed the needle down into the arm stuffing with my hand as I got up. I was not able feel it in the upholstery. The only way to find it is to tear the chair apart. I have never seen another needle like it, an easy to thread short needle with a long eye that picked up every bead. Someday I will tear that chair apart!
Liz…… what part of Nebraska were you raised? I’m in the Panhandle; in a town called Scottsbluff!! And you’re right……the Midwest has great food!! Go Big Red!
Another floss tuber was hacked and we got a message we won and contact thru some app. I remember the silver aluminum Christmas tree and red bulbs we had for years. There was a wheel that turned and had different colors. We had a real tree maybe once or twice and then went to a fake grrr tree.

Could you explain how you are achieving the houses in the distance and, do you fill in the front yards and sides in-between houses/buildings with added snow stitches to connect ? I have a horrible back too..I use a memory foam topper with a down topper over that, it works wonderfully. Love your stitching and chatting.. wish i was there with you.
You both talking about getting real trees and previous visitors appearing later reminded me of the one year I came downstairs the day after decorating the Christmas tree to find snails across my lounge. 😂

Liz, one tip I have for the memory foam topper is to make sure you get one with a cool 'touch' to it. I sleep hot (I'm 55) and I got a foam mattress with a cool top, and I still was dying from heat with the special mattress pad they sold me for 99$. So I sleep with a thinner fitted sheet and no mattress pad and I feel much better and cooler!! Hope that helps!!😸

Have either of you heard of or seen a "My Favorite Needle! " for beading ? It was manufactured by Mardina Enterprises, Talahassee FL. , they are no longer in business. I used that needle for all my stitching including beading and loved it!... until one day I ran out of thread and was getting up from my Lazy Boy to answer the phone (that is how long ago it happened) when I stuck the needle into the front of the arm to hold it until I got back and inadvertently pushed the needle down into the arm stuffing with my hand as I got up. I was not able feel it in the upholstery. The only way to find it is to tear the chair apart. I have never seen another needle like it, an easy to thread short needle with a long eye that picked up every bead. Someday I will tear that chair apart!

Another floss tuber was hacked and we got a message we won and contact thru some app. I remember the silver aluminum Christmas tree and red bulbs we had for years. There was a wheel that turned and had different colors. We had a real tree maybe once or twice and then went to a fake grrr tree.

Could you explain how you are achieving the houses in the distance and, do you fill in the front yards and sides in-between houses/buildings with added snow stitches to connect ? Enjoyed hearing about your road trip. Sounded really great fun apart from the medical emergency ! I'm just starting cross stitch . I do a lot of sewing , quilts , home goods etc but not cross stitch so far . I think I've found a a kit to stitch over the holidays ....wish me luck . Thanks so much for sharing x
