World of Tanks is a Free 2 Play online game which is available as a free download. It is one of the best video games I have ever played and I fully recommend it.

Actually he was using the X 25 zoom so he was actually fully aiming his shots. But it was still a great game.

Don't forget that this is perm tank and they can use their one of the most trained crew which is crew of KV85(KV1S) or IS3~
Crew Skill makes lots of difference in this gun handling :)

+Sjoerd Diekema lower tier tanks arn't so special or interesting, there are exceptions like the ELC amx, luchs, T-34 medium tank, T 67 or the A-20 for example. I think it's better to learn from tier 5 tanks and up to improve your games. But if you want to watch lower tier gameplay. there are replay channels that provide them. I watch them too.

It was buffed to make the T-10/IS-8/IS-10 more competitive against other tanks. Before the buff, the IS-8 was never a threat against tanks like the E-75, now it is.

an IS5 is pretty much exactly a T10 with stock turret and the gun of the IS3A -150 health and a pretty bad radio. How OP is this?

This is not Op at all... And there are like 8000 of these on the EU server. I have one myself and its totally shitty. Thats a terribly bad IS3, the APCR are keeping bouncing every where, accuary aiming time suck as much as the armor which stops nothing.

Summary of IS-5:
Speed: Like that of an ST-I with a gear or two added to its engine.
Armor: It's a heavy tank. Nuff said.
Accuracy: If he'd be any more inaccurate, he'd be an artillery.
Penetration: Yeah...
Damage: 122 mm D2-5T. Nuff said again.
Other: I dunno, check the fakin' stats out.
Why do you even show us there replays? Yes, he is pretty good and he know what decisions to make...but man he is ruining the game with those HEAT rounds...he would not have been able to destroy all of the enemy tanks without them...it is just boring when they are not even sweating or trying...

Nah, its pretty underpowered compared to the other IS tanks. And considering the powercreep lately, its one of the worst heavy tank ingame.

I have it, and its accuracy is shit, just like is 6 but with good pen, armor holds up but u cant angle, and ammo capacity sucks, for tier 8 SH its ok, but is - 3 will rule tier 8's forever

QB... T-10 didn't replace IS-8. The IS-8 was renamed to T-10 because of Stalin's death which ended the use of 'IS' tank designations. ;)

good player but also extremely lucky. in WoT pub it's about 20% skill, 80% luck.
the 120m of hull armor is actually only on some parts the upper armor is pretty weak if the ennemy knows what he is doing

IS-8 and T-10 is basically same tank, only the manufacturers that built them called them differently :p I believe this is because if a T-10 breaks down it won't be able to be repaired in an IS-8 factory since they built them differently and used different parts. I basically call it IS-10 just for laughs xP

On Console u can buy IS 5 with Skin 365 days a year, its called Glory IS-5. But at same time u can buy even more gloryous Obj. 252u any day of year.

meh, WG manages to put you 60% in T10 games.. 30% in T9 games.. an in about 10% in Fun T8 games of which maybe every 10th game is without Artillery... so, the Tank is ok and the Problem is like always how WG decided how make fun of you and punk you.... thats my opinion about my IS5
um, not sure about the whole IS-5 having better armour cause of the lower profile, I personally butter my way trough the IS-5's armour, but sometimes struggle to go through the T-10's armour. I don't know, but it seems like the IS-5 has weaker armour, and I might be correct, or totally wrong.
it would have been so unbelievably funny if the E25 would have been on more hp and, once he realized he can't get around him fast enough, would have simply gone to the cap circle... the dance evolving between these 2 tanks as the IS-5 tries to ram the E25... just imagine that !

Im using the VK 28 light tank right now and matchmaking is a bitch for it.On console everybodys using Soviet tanks and theres always Motherlands.
add a little more pen (about 20?) and this will be worth tier 10. in its current state its easily a tier 9. its also a prem and all prems are meant to be bad :P.
in case of any arguments: compare with KV-5
The cupolas seem a bit week on the IS-5. I use it a lot, as it's one of two teir 8 premiums that I own. I think it's a rather nice tank, guns a bit derpy sometimes though.
Earn ? was you in the clan wars campaign then ? as on the EU server it was a case of only 4.5k players got it free with the other 6.5k having to buy it for 12k gold and its not a great tanks you dont see many of them in game either on the EU server as the hull is bad at brawling
It's quite ridiculous how much RNG was on his side in this game. Almost all shots, not even fully aimed, flew with a 100% accuracy.
they also got special camo, that is if you got the correct number of FAME and your clan got plenty of tank licenses, and a decent chunk of player got a chance to purchase the tank with gold, but they didn't get the special camo.
Hey Qb. There is a campaign starts in August this year, one of the reward tanks which you could choose is IS-5. If you want it, there is still a chance.

In blitz, the IS 5 is too good. I have taken full hp IS 3s and 6s down no problem. It much better than any other tier 8 IS tanks. So happy i got it :D

But Quicky, you shouldn't forget the bad accurary. You have no chance on 200m+
90mm cannot triple overmatch the roof since its 30mm thick. You need more than 3x the nominal thickness so you need >90m caliber to triple overmatch.
this tank costs 1500 Gold in wot blitz. You just need to reach Level 10 in ur clan
You should play arty just to see how hard it is,but play it like a normal player,withou 100% crew and no fancy ultra expensive equips

im one of those who have this vehicle in my garage and i must say its a pain in the *** to play .. it would be too powerful so most of the battles u shot half your shells into the ground or keep bouncin them even on sides of lightly armored vehicles .. wg just had to screw rng up for this one..

well.. honestly is5 is decent.. but certainly not the best reward Tier for Tier.. obj907 is just much better :)
The main differences (negative) from the IS-3:
-Horrible gun-handling, normally none of your unaimed shots will even hit in the same post-code.
-No proper spaced sidearmour, so any shot into your side will penetrate.
-Worse engine power, so going up hill is slower.
While the IS-5 is a nice tank the IS-3 is still a lot better.

Then riddle me this: Why is the IS-3 still the main CW tank and not the IS-5? :) Because the IS-5 is inferior, especially in the armour department.
