its gt 650 all the way , a class of its own , duke 390 might give u the chills initially but the golden statement in automotive industry " no replacement for displacement " a few mods to gt and theres no stopping it . last but not the least no rickshaw exhaust on gt;]

i have interceptor 650 sunset stripe color in it there is rust spot on top of clutch wire then on tank top of handlebar is on sides of tank then sari gourd also has 1-2 spots what to do help me mad tank ka paint quality kharab aya hai

Aur ek chij 390 me kharab ha ki tum jab city me chaloge tab tumhe rpm high rakhna parega nhi to engine baar baar low rpm par band hoga even on half clutch
Issliye 390 city k liye suitable option nhi ha agr aap stop and go traffic me chalana pare......nhi to 2nd gear par 10 k speed par baar baar band hoga
Both are best in their own worlds, no doubt not even a speck! but recently I've heard a lot of issues in CGT 650, amongst which the major one is Chassis breaking! yeah the part which primarily holds motorcycle together is broken! I was about book GT in coming September but I held back, Let me put it this way - Yes looks matter but after investing 3-4 lakhs of hard earned money, the last thing one can expect is a broken chassis! make sure you make a right move! the only reason I wanted to buy GT is to keep motorcycle as long as possible but now all I want is a fun and fine handling machine, which forces me to learn every time I swing my legs across it! RE serious needs to uplift their build quality, because their over cost cutting strategy can end up killing someone! I'll go with duke...

A very close friend of mine is confused between *Apache 310RR and RC390* , if he wanna keep his bike for a long time which one he should get?
(He's being a little biased over those attractive looks of Apache 310RR red color , even I'm falling for it)
Also one more thing , many of my KTM 390 owner friends are saying that KTM suffers power drop after sometime if it's ridden the way it's meant to be and needs an engine rebuild sooner compared to other bikes, is that true?

Due to high compression piston replacement has been done in 25k- 30k depends upon how you use your bike
Hey , I think he can wait for new RC 390 which is more comfy than old one, if he wants to see how new RC would feel like when riding ask him to test RC200 once, he should be able to get an idea how it would feel on newer one, yes Apache is amazing bike, you can take it on road, off road, long tour and all, but I have a feeling that he would get over that power band sooner than On RC , if he's gonna keep bike short period, Apache is amazing, but if it's for long time, I would recommend RC390 since you'll always be excited about that thumping acceleration , coming to relaibilty I think any motorcycle which is ridden hard and not maintained properly will face these issues, I did that mistake with my old Avenger, so yeah if your friend is gonna use it as it meant , ask him to do proper maintainance like using higher grade oil say like Motul 300 V2, using dot 5 brake fluids , maintaining chain or use brass chain for longer durability etc., then he should not get any problems, ask him to watch Oggy F, he owns 390 RC he bought several years ago and still runs it

You should buy the one you like, those bikes are completely different designs and style, but in general terms they are kind of similar in performance, I prefer the personality and design of Continental GT

Refinement levels offered by a single cyclinder engine can never compare with a parallel twin cylinder engine. The vibrations in KTMs are just pure uncomfortable. No offence to KTM owners. I'm just not a big fan of motorcycles that rattle your veins and bones whenever you take it out on the road.
GPS, LEDs, etc. They can all be fixed on the GT with some easy DIYs. But for me, personally speaking, I don't mind not having a GPS since a bluetooth helmet does the job just fine. LEDs can be installed easily.
Remember folks, REs appeal to the experienced and KTMs appeal to the youngsters. The design and esthetics of the GT is just timeless. You can look at your GT even after a decade long and you'll still be able to appreciate it. Duke on the other hand, will be easily replaced with other street fighters. Hasqvarna is a good example of that (Jawa included).
Edit: One thing that all GT reviews miss out on is that the level of customizability offered by the GT is something that has never before been seen on an Indian motorcycle. You feel like changing your exhaust? No worries. No need to buy bend pipes, saw through your existing exhaust, etc. Just buy a slip on and replace the stock. Need a new headlight? Fine. No need to deconstruct the headlight assembly. You can buy plug and play headlights. Need a single seater? You can. Need a pillion back rest? You can. Need a raised handle bar? You can. The possibilities are endless.
And you wanna know the best part of it? Most of these customization options are available from RE itself. So you don't have to worry about a proper fit or voiding your warranty.
