Thank you very much for this video. Very concise and informative. Helped me a lot when changing the MAF sensor on my 2003 VW Passat 1.8T. I don't know why Germans make things so complicated, but I guess that's the nature of the beast. Thanks to folks like you making these videos, we commoners have a chance at working on these cars. Thanks again.
Thanx for the video. Just one correction. To disconnect the connector from the sensor you do not squeeze it. You need to use a small sharp knife and bend out the small latch locking it. So rather the opposite to squeezing it.
You saved my bacon! Seriously thank you so much! This video was very easy to follow (even for a first timer like me) along with being to the point. Cannot thank you enough!
Yeeeesss. Thanks man. This just happened to my 2001 Passat 1.8 Turbo (3BG 150hp). Engine light with code "System too lean - bank 1" and "Cylinder misfire". I looked around the engine and couldn't find anything that remotely looked like the MAF sensor. Now i know!
You should tell everyone to change the air filter since you have it open anyway. The only way I wouldn't change the air filter would be if it had just been done VERY recently.
Not sure I've ever heard someone whine this much about his hurt butt, due to a some simple hoses. Jesus dude...😂 It's one of the easiest things to do on that car.
It took me 2 days to get it on completely .I bought a new turbo and install kit for it on eBay .Good luck bro make sure to change your oil after you change the turbo.
