Minister's Video Blog - September 2024

As we begin a new fellowship year, I’m excited about the opportunities ahead for our shared ministry in Western North Carolina. Fall is here, signaling a time of change and growth for our fellowship. This year, our theme is "Roots and Wings," reflecting the balance between being grounded and exploring new possibilities.
In August, I focused on planning worship and community connections. This year’s themes include celebrating journeys in September, re-grounding in October, exploring our roots in November, and embracing transformation in the spring. We’re also introducing some changes in our worship services, such as adjusting the order of the service and increasing the involvement of children and youth.
To reduce our environmental impact, we’re offering multiple ways to access the Order of Service, including through a smartphone app, sanctuary video displays, shared print copies, or a personal copy upon request.
Additionally, the UUFH board is drafting a new Annual Vision of Ministry, and we’ll be seeking your input to finalize it. I look forward to seeing you at our water communion service and embarking on this journey together.
