- In this video I take you along with me to take a deep dive into screen printing. Not just screen printing but a more in depth look at how screen printing screens are made.
Getting a new screen prepped and ready by cleaning and washing it with a degreaser. The next step is to the coat the screen with emulsion. In this video I used the Baselayr emulsion. Finding the proper exposing time is key! One of the best ways to find your time is to just guesstimate and do test exposures to see what exposes the best! Hope you all enjoy this video!

Been struggling with screen blowout😩
I used the same Galaxy emulsion now on to the base layer…. I have been doing 1 min exposure and blowing out with led table so I’m going to jump on the 20 second train and see what happens…. Thanks so much for making a video that is DIRECT and clear to understand…
Keep up the good work man…🥰
Appreciate your videos brother - I am printing my first shirt Monday the 20th of February and I also have the Baselayer emulsion and have the Ryonet 250 (2 station - 6 screen/color). I am stoked about starting this new journey of screen printing.
hi could you please share the supplier link for Baselayer emulsion thanks you
You’re a very good teacher. I’m looking forward to applying your knowledge when I start making my screens. Thanks for sharing.😊
I usually use the same exposure unit, and the same emulsion! But because I been using the expose calculator that give me a time of 45 second for right exposure!!
You probably underexposed but still work!
I recommend get one expose calculator to make sure
PERFECT TIMING! Just cleaned some screen for the first time today and hitting that emulsion in the morning. Hopefully first print coming soon. 👕 🎨 🖌
Lets gooo! Best of luck to you! you got this.
Bro I need some help I keep adding the emulsion let it dry overnight in my garage the blinds are closed it doesn’t burn or wash off nothing i don’t get it now I got a whole square I did about 6 screens different drying is it the emulsion ?
@@AJ-do8uw Yo ever solves this problem I have same?
Meaning nothing washes out when you expose?
What’s the problem?
I'm barely going to begin my screen printing journey. This was very useful. Highly appreciated!
Thank you bro. I’ve watched tons of videos and your was by far the one to tell me what I was doing wrong. Thank you🙏
I just saw this video. Much love from Hawaii! I'm a small screen printer in oahu, hawaii but I'm loving the set up and everything! Keep it up 💯

Thank you so much🫶🏽
I bought the dryer cabinet from ryonet. I can have screens dried in 30 minutes. Its has a heater unit and some fans in it you might can add some 12 volts computer style fans and small heater to yours.
Your channel is underrated bro. Great information in a lax atmosphere. Keep up the good work!
I really appreciate you saying that man🙏🏽 thank you a ton!

Great vids man! I appreciate the content! Keep up the fantastic work!!
Thanks for the clear tutorial. I haven't seen another screen printer who does dry coating passes to remove excess emulsion.
Hey bro, great video! Question: do you have another video that explains how you made the stencil at the 7:02 mark? Is it just regular black vinyl? I think that's the only part I'm stumped on. Any help would be much appreciated man
Thank you for all of your videos, I am going to try screen printing for the first time and I am super nervous. I will continue to learn from you.😀

Great video!!! Just ordered this emulsion
Awesome! thank you for your engagement!
i like to coat 2 on the screen side and 1 on the squeegee side. Huge fan of your work bro.
that's awesome, always stick to what works best for you! Thank you for the support bro!
Love the video. .. perfect learning experience.
Happy to hear!
I just started and man its a process. I was wondering if u can explain to me how can i make my lines super straight cause the emulsion takss forever to come out. Unless the emulsion is old. And where can i order that emulsion u using now.
Hey nice video quick question as an in home new screen printer what type of lighting should be used when applying the emulsion and screen printing itself? I am using a halogen light.
Dope stuff!! Lets Go!!
You mention several times the exposure "seconds" I don't have the light kit like you have but two light light lamps on scissor extensions. What happens if I expose for more time? I've seen other video's in which the person put the screen outside in the sun.
Thanks
Jdub
Wow. Nice bro. Im learning from your videos.thanks for the tips.

GREAT JOB
THANK YOU
That was awesome
Happy to hear!
Nice job!
hey quick question how can i get one of the platen outline to center the transparency fills ?
What’s your wash station setup? What kind of pressure washer you using?
This videos shows you my set up with the wash booth. I’m using a generic pressure washer only about 1700 PSI. It’s all you need really
Cool video bro!
did you have to add anything in the emulsion and if so does it come with it
Good stuff. Helped me out a lot!! ThNks!!
what is a good emulsion bucket size to buy ,and how many screens can u get with the size?
I generally just get the bucket. Lasts a good couple months for me
Hello my friend, do you prepare the sensitive varnish?
Question.. is the baselayr an already mixed emulsion?
Its a already mixed emulsion and is ready to go right out of the bucket for this exact one I used in this video
@@baavproductions I appreciate your reply back bro! Thank u
i keep trying everything with this new emulsion I got. Its ecotex PWR. Its just not working for me. I'm curious some people say when washing screens you need to be in light safe room. Is that correct? I'm thinking I may use your brand also. I'm about ready to send this one back. lol
Great video!
What are you using as the light source, UV or white light? Thanks like you system.
do i need to buy a lightbox to use this emulsion or can i use a regular uv light
When you’re costing your screens do you use the sharper edge on the scoop coater or the rounded edge.
Great question! I use the sharp edge. The rounded edge will give you a thicker coat but I like the sharp edge.
Sharp edge for high mesh only 180 and up
👍🏽
love you channel and videos. i run the same exposure unit with cryocoat, what were your times for 200 mesh and up? i'm almost out and was gonna order the baseline what you think about it?
For cryocoat 200 mesh and up I would range between 20-21 seconds. For this new emulsion I can get away with just 18 seconds, it has been working well for me so far. Appreciate the love!
thanx for the info , helped me a lot.
great job
Thank you!
Great job 👏🏻
Thank you!
Wasup bro, I love your videos… Is that base layer emulsion good for water base inks.?
I’m pretty sure they have a baselayr for water based inks. I’d give them a call, they will be happy to help you
Thanks for the tutorial brother .
Really good bro
Glad you liked it bro!
Thanks for the video. Good info. I've never heard of the second pass (dry) after putting emulsion. Habe you had any issues ? .
I appreciate it! And yeah I’ve been rockin with the dry scoop and it’s been working well for me
What kinda lighting and where you get the tshirts with the hood
What do you use to wash the exposed screen off if you want to reuse the screen for another job?
young superstar!!!!
We are all superstars my man! Appreciate the love!
what is your light set up, I am struggling with using a regular light.
Does the foam not throw off how the image is burned on the screen?
For how long do you dry on the flash drier. I got the vevor one
Is there any negative out comes to going over one side of the screen twice with the emulsion
Can you expose the freshly coated screen to any light?n in your video there is light on, is this just for the video purpose? Should it be red light or black light until full exposure
10/10 dude what a guy
🐐 for this one!!!!
Appreciate you!!!
What do you use as your filtration system?
Had a bad day today, i used to expose directly under sunlight and my exposing time was 250seconds.
Didn't able to get clear screen like as urs,
Did 3time today
Failed in all attempts
