'Sons and Fascination' and 'Sister Feelings Call' were sold as one album here in the US, shrink-wrapped together, with a label 'Free Extra Album!' I thought--and still think--that was their best work: mature, forward-looking, technically breathtaking. It's nice to know that a live version of this beautiful song done more recently still sounds as good as it did back in the day.

Saw SM at the Wiltern Theatre in LA 1983; they opened with one of the most fantastic versions of Theme for Great Cities. Extended intro that took off when Gaynor hit the drums. One of the best bands ever.
I love this band so FUCKING MUCH! That closeup on Mel Gaynor shows a man WORKING SO HARD. What a drummer! And Jim Kerr... what can I say? Jim is an elastic and gorgeous reminder of what the 80s (and beyond) were. This band was so groundbreaking, it's hard to put into words. Thank you, SIMPLE MINDS, for ruining so many needles on my old record player. I love you!

I always thought it was strange/ weird that SM would make/ produce GREAT instrumentals without Jim being involved, I don’t know how this came about. But loved it 🙏🏻
The very best piece of SM, among others because the singer is not singing :0) Lovely bass line, but I would have liked to see the guy who invented it standing there on stage.... Nice light show too, 9/10 here !
