I absolutely admire the reporting done by you sir, to explain the extremely complicated situation that is happening in the Adani case that is being exposed. But here's what I think. If the regulators do not put a penalty as such, I don't think the free market can affect a loss on Adani as such, as, seeing from the statistics at 9:05, over 70% of the stock is held in internal hands only, and if they hold firm, the value would stabilize. However, this form of insider trading feels extremely disgraceful in my eyes. Legally, I (as a commoner) would be prohibited from buying shares from a startup if it was a relative's company because of the insider trading rules, with a punishment of 3x the profits or prison time (in extreme cases). But people like them could openly manipulate their stock prices and still get away. The thing is, these types of manipulations defeat the entire purpose of a "free market", where each and every company and startup should have the ability to generate profits, rather than all the money in the investment community being held up by these mega-billionaires.

I absolutely admire the reporting done by you sir, to explain the extremely complicated situation that is happening in the Adani case that is being exposed. But here's what I think. If the regulators do not put a penalty as such, I don't think the free market can affect a loss on Adani as such, as, seeing from the statistics at 9:05, over 70% of the stock is held in internal hands only, and if they hold firm, the value would stabilize.
However, this form of insider trading feels extremely disgraceful in my eyes. Legally, I (as a commoner) would be prohibited from buying shares from a startup if it was a relative's company because of the insider trading rules, with a punishment of 3x the profits or prison time (in extreme cases). But people like them could openly manipulate their stock prices and still get away.
The thing is, these types of manipulations defeat the entire purpose of a "free market", where each and every company and startup should have the ability to generate profits, rather than all the money in the investment community being held up by these mega-billionaires.
