Beautiful Mako caught one 15 years ago off of Brielle NJ in the Canyons ,228 pound's landed mine never jumped and keeped him, still have his Jaws and the fillets were beautiful,the boat was a Shark charter called The Last Lady 51 foot Sea Ray.

One of the reasons we fly fish is to raise awareness among people concerning sharks and in fact every fish species that can be caught and released using fly fishing equipment. The reality we live in today is that many species of fish and animals are threatened with extinction unless we all actually do something about it. This situation was brought about by US. As the dominant animal on earth, humans have the awesome responsibility of being the custodians of the natural world. If we try to escape this responsibility, or even worse, continue to destroy nature, we will end up extinct ourselves, as everything is interconnected. We are part of nature as nature is part of us. Someone once said, quite truthfully, that - "The only way for evil to triumph, is for good people to do nothing" Now that isn't a joke
If you put yourself in their environment you'd be in the water not in your boat. The shark has your number thats why you play with them on a line. Pointless
