Life is 80% attitude. Your attitude determines how good your life is. Our existence and being alive is already a miracle. Regardless what we do and what happens to us, in the end we all leave this world with nothing.

Life is 10% what happens and 90% how you handle what happens. I expect your hernia surgery to be routine and successful. I wish you a speedy recovery.

I had an umbilical hernia myself, post surgery is painful and debilitating, you don't realize how important those core muscles are until you can't use them. stay strong....

I tell myself as bad as things can get, they could be worse. One of my children is on the autism spectrum. Having a special needs child gives me perspective and makes me appreciate the little things. Glad life is good for you.

I had hernia surgery many years ago. It all turned out fine. Hopefully yours is just as successful. Right, it was not serious. And the anesthesia was nice.
    Waiting for the next video.

Thanks for another video that made me smile, Enrique. I signed up as a member today because I felt I had taken so much value in all of your free content that I should compensate you in some way for the stories, knowledge and experiences you've shared. I did Thailand for 5 years on a break from working in the Middle East, then Cambodia for 6 months (too much drugs/lawlessness) and then Angeles for 5 months. I have done all the touristy hotspots (El Nido, Boracay, Puerta Galera, Puerto Princessa, etc.) and learned the basics of the culture, but now I am on the plus side of 50 and thinking differently about my life and legacy... question, if you had it all to do over again, and you were single and looking for a quality partner, where would you choose to live to facilitate that goal with the highest chance of success? My plan is to start out in Angeles in a few months on a year long stay, just to reconnect with my friends and get the juices flowing, so-to-speak... but after that, I'll be looking for something more real. Any recommendations?

Thanks for the support as a member i do appreciate it.
it in answer to your question.. if i were single and looking to settle down where would be the best place to live...
i would choose a smaller island preferably with a lower presence of expats. i would likely live in a place like iloilo, davao, dipilog, consolacion, bogo, bantayan, bohol or any island or city that is a bit more rural and provincial.

Prayers my friend, I have 18 months before I retire to Cebu, I too have a hernia that I'll take care of here, and probably get dentures (we have soft teeth) my main goal is I will be able to live out my life very comfortably... Even if I meet a Filipina
I worry here because cheap rent is outrageous

Do the locals who are concentrating on life’s challenges have any idea of the problem with China?

Aren't you in the wrong place? The guy has a super positive vibe . Why not go to where the negative prevails and anxiety is the norm?

Most people seem to have just a general overview. similar to the american populace understanding of what is going on in the middle east or the ukraine.

Funny you should mention last thoughts. 12 years ago I had sudden cardiac death. Heart suddenly stops, you drop dead.
I clearly remember my last thought as I fell; "It was a good life. The family is taken care of."
Luckily for me, this happened when I was at work in an ER. Obviously, I was successfully resuscitated! 😂😂😂😂
