Very well explained covered all the historical importance of each and every monument. You made it very interesting for the viewers. The precautions will help us a lot. Thankyou Suhas Sir, looking forward for your next trip.
Suhas Sir, loved the video and the narration full of info and tips. It would help others if you can add info about the hotel/ home stays you stayed at & the eateries on the highway where you stopped for meals with a few points as feedback for these places. Families traveling on these routes would benefit a lot from these inputs. Also fuel bunks on enroute. Thanks.
Thank you so much Ameetinder Bajwa ji, for your feedback. I am glad that you liked the video and found it useful. Bangalore and Hampi has good options for hotels, while in Madikeri, mostly there are homestays, which are also managed very well by the owners. There are good food outlets along all the highways except the one mentioned between Madikeri and Chitradurga. As regards fuel bunks, there are plenty of them all through. The maximum distance between two fuel bunks on the highways would be around 50 kms.
Dear Arnab Bhuyan ji, thank you very much for your compliments. I am glad that you liked this video. We stayed at 'Treebo Trend Vrindavan Coorg' in Madikeri. It is a typical homestay operated by a very caring ex-defence officer. He stays adjacent to this property and enquires with every guest during breakfast every morning about their comfort and any requirements. The staff is also helpful.
Dear Sachin Ji, Thank you for watching the video and raising a query. We had stayed in the following hotels: Dharwad .. Royal Ritz .. our rating 9/10 Bangalore .. Regenta Inn Grand Koramangala .. our rating 7/10 Madikeri (Coorg) .. Treebo Trend Vrindavan Coorg .. our rating 8/10 Hospet (Hampi) .. Hotel Hampi International .. our rating .. 6/10.
Hi, I enjoyed your video and the concise manner in which you detailed the drive and stay experience. I am planning on a long drive in July ‘23 from Mumbai to Coimbatore and back. The stretches of concern for me are Davangere to Jog Falls to Chikmaglur and onwards to Mysore. Would you have any experience where the roads on these stretches are as bad as you showed in your video or would they be better. Thanks for your effort
Dear Ashok Rane ji, Thanks for your compliments. I am glad that you liked the video. I know that the roads between Jog falls to Chikmaglur and onward to Mysuru are in very good condition. However, I am not very sure about the other roads. I recommend that you visit the website wanderlog.com/ . This has an updated, reliable, and authentic information which is shared by the travellers like us. This might be of some help to you. Wish you all the best on your road trip ... Enjoy... 👍🙏
Nice and informative video. Every details was covered. One question, what could be better road from Madikeri to Chitradurga? I assume from date of video, you traveled in February 2023. So, can not expect the road would have been done better. Is there any alternate route if one wants to travel from Madikeri to Hampi?
Thank you very much Sunil Dhage ji for your positive feedback. I am glad that you liked the video. As mentioned in the video, the road laying / repair works are in progress at many places along the stretch. However, even after completion, it would still be a one / two lane road passing through several villages and would not have any standard food outlets along the road. The next best alternate route is to go from Madikeri to Tumkuru and then to Chitradurga. However, this route is approximately 100 km longer, which may not be viable, both time wise and fuel wise.
