I discovered the Flaming passion box glitch by accident as a child it wasn't until years later that I found out that dying while the bonus box counter was still counting down was the reason it happened.
Quite interesting. My most beloved accidental discovery as a kid was one of the secret levels in the game, Eggipus Rex. While I was running from the triceratops, I unwillingly bumped into one of the pterodactyls. Waiting to be transported back to the last checkpoint, I was in shock and awe when I found myself in this peculiar level. I will never forget this feeling.
I always loved glitched like this. Having fun with the game despite it’s a glitch. I don’t mind glitches unless they’re game breaking, thats why I love glitches like this so much.
nope, it doses not. the counter goes faster once crash is out of the bouns round. i loved this glitch, because i would use it to skip the death route in cold hard crash
The third game, unlikely since I consider my runs on Time Trial Mode as some sort of a speedrun. The second one, maybe, but the problem is that Bandicam can record only for 10 minutes, the free version, that is. And I already tried working with OBS, but I didn't achieve anything.

I was able to get it working, but in end it turned out that the height and width of the frame were smaller than window sized and it didn't record any footage, only sound and a black screen. Then, I managed to fix the black screen somehow, but the frame remained the same and the lags of the evenutual video were enormous.
Nice glitch! I remember this one while I was trying to obtain the box gem. One thing more: In Flamming Passion I thought you were going to do the Nitro Glitch in every Nitro crate XD
Perhaps I should have done that. It looks way more epic than just cowardly shooting down the nitro crates with the Fruit Bazooka. Then again, this trick is quite unpredictable and there's no guarantee that Crash will be able to leave the Bonus Round unharmed after its execution.

Even though the title of the video states that this is a "Glitch", in my opinion it is more of an oversight because something like that was supposedly going to happen considering that the game takes a while to add the crates to the total, even after Crash dies. Now if the developers made the counter reach 0 immediately after Crash respawns, then we wouldn't have had this.

That's true. It is the ultimate shortcut when it comes to Cold Hard Crash. Of course, there is a chance for the players not being observant enough and not checking the inventory. Then they will up for quite the surprise at the end of the level.

It would be logical to me, you did extra lives (over 99), and then extra crates, extra items would be next in the "extra-trilogy". But. Don't know if it would be worth it, as I've covered that myself pretty recently actually, in a somewhat quite detailed fashion. Was complicated to put it ALL together. Can anyone bring anything new to the table with that anyways? (And that was also what I thought with running Crash 1 to 100%, I'm doing it differently.)

Around two weeks before finishing it I managed to finish me Japanese legit disc trilogy of Crashes one two and three, so that caused a few rewrites still. There was one visual thing I legitimately forgot to explain, though. Me oversight, that was. But hey, there's always that stupid FAQ. Going to this "extra-trilogy" thingy, err I had in mind a trilogy as in a series of three in a row actually. I've seen that old video thingy you mentioned some time back, so there's that.
No, it doesn't work in the N. Sane Trilogy because the moment Crash returns to the main level the crates are added instantaneously, regardless how much there are. There is no way you can die before they are added.

Fascinating, the trigger for the gem to appear is having the exact right amount of boxes, rather than reaching a certain threshold.
Well, yes, that's the point of acquiring the Gem.
The same in turtle woods where you need to complete the level with 0/0 of boxes to obtain the blue gem.

Vicarious Visions definitely did the smart thing by having the counter immediately reach 0 once Crash steps out of the Bonus Round platform.

I was able to get it working, but in end it turned out that the height and width of the frame were smaller than window sized and it didn't record any footage, only sound and a black screen. Then, I managed to fix the black screen somehow, but the frame remained the same and the lags of the evenutual video were enormous.
CrashFan95 i can only recommend lowering the output resolution and capturing the emulator directly, but keeping it windowed as well
I will give it another try but I don't have high hopes.

Yeah, I understand. I tried that Bunus Round without Fruit Bazooka while I was recording. Took me more than 50 attemps lol

Yes, especially in Cold Hard Crash. All speedrunners use this glitch to save some time when they are going for 100%

I Tried This in Crash Dash in 1.5X Speed but it's Insane!!
