Hi Dani & Noah. when your first going through the $1.00 box you can tell from the back of the pieces of jewelry that some of them are cheap/modern if you notice the texture. then when you picked up the gold brooch with a different back (large stone) you can tell that is a vintage piece (by the way the back looks) Thats the best way to find out if something is modern junk and if it is vintage "gold" :) glass beaded necklaces especially vintage ones are always a good buy! once i watched to the end i noticed you picked up pieces that i would have!!! and jewelry is what i do. so you've done so well!! you definitely are learning jewelry !! yay!! great job :)

In front of the cactus is a plant called spekboom, Google the fabulous properties of this plant. Tortoises love this plant, well Southern Afrcan Tortoises anyway.
I bought a couple of plants that were by the cactuses. The cactuses had shed and the spines were all over the other plants and I had such a problem with spines in my fingers. They were so fine and I had so many in my fingers. Horrible.
