@@imafan26 Well have u watched the whole video? 🙄 watch 25:15 in the video, Zhi Wei identity as girl was exposed and it is punishable by death as treason, Helian tried to soften the situation by suggesting to the emperor to marry the annoying princess on Zhi Wei’s behalf.
@@jpo4757 You are right, at that time he did say he would marry the Princess after Wei Zhi refused to marry her. Helian did that to try to stop her from exposing herself as a woman. She had not done that yet. Later, he proposed to marry her and take her away to save her life after she was exposed as a girl. Ning Yi reminded the emperor of her credits and how he himself chose her as the ultimate scholar. Remember that emperors never admit they made a mistake. Ning Yi was able to buy her time by sending her to the prison until he could come up with a better plan to save her.

How two main characters grew so apart totally ruins this entire movie but I have to keep several things in mind. So pitiful! And why was the writer hating on Ye? Everybody was against him!
