I love how Kinich originally hired Enjou as a babysitter but it ended up with Enjou doing historical research and telling Ajaw Genshin's lore

Enjou is such a force of chaos, one day he is honestly betraying you, the next he is giving you a dear gift no one else can. It really does make you question whether there is a pragmatic honest good intentions bad actions of the Abyss Order or it's just Enjou being Enjou.

Paimon getting called an anemic flying ant was not on my bingo card for Natlan, but it feels like something that needed to happen.
Ajaw's real self is locked in Kinich's wristband from what I know, what we see is just something projected through Phlogiston and his real appearance is different apparently
The amount of lore in the Scions tribal quest is really amazing
Edit: it just occurred to me that Kinich would probably understand what Burkina would want because he has completely awakened his ancient name and has the memories of Burkina

That Yumkasaur at the end was actually Nanna! They told us that she tried to oof herself by jumping from a cliff. That's when Enjou met her(he said someone bungee jumping hit him). He healed her from abyss corruption! W Enjou!!! Can't wait for him to come back again!!!!

Ahh Enjou, I love that pathetic bookworm. Everyone roasting his ass at all times was perfect. That ending was way more wholesome than I was expecting, I won’t lie I teared up.
Also if Ajaw is the Pyro Dragon Sovereign, I am sending him to Fontaine so Neuvillette can practise his water boarding techniques. Maybe get him to insult Furina or any Melusine so Neuvi has more incentive
@@reaperofthings There is another lord dragon 'sovereign' in Natlan, he ruled during the Ochkanatlan era, called Och-Kan who ruled using Turnfire which just so happens to be the ancient name of Kinich. Och-Kan ruled after the first Pyro Archon Xbalanque's disappearance and according to murals in world quests he might also be the Sage of Stolen Flame which just so happens to depict a greenish dragon person with a chameleon tail and was adept at using Saurian technology and relics, whereas Ajaw seems to be tied to the wristwatch relic on Kinich's wrist. Also, Pyro Sovereign is Pyro, Ajaw is Dendro.

I love how we just stan Enjou all because of that one line "I Mean I Totally Did Betray them" and yeah I was genuinely happy he came back, it's the voice performance honestly. On that note, who voices him anyway?
I think "Sanka" really talked to Paimon that she doesn't know her real strength. I mean Aether knows his own power, he just can't use it completely.

demn kinich way of talking is like me lol, just when paimon was about to tell the context, kinich stops him there and empathize that he knows what she is going to say. This is why I'd rather save the breath of those who talks to me and just go straight to the point now that they know the context.
You know what's missing? Enjou becomes a playable character.
i need a special event where Enjou is actually in the spotlight haha. Also, somewhere in Kinich's story it says that this is not Ajaw's true form. Kinich made him into that 8 bit version for some reason. So Ajaw might be telling the truth,, only that he is not the one of Flames but the one spoken by that dendro dragon from Sumeru
His real form is trapped in that artefact sealed in the 8-bit form is just a projection made with Phlogiston.
Ajaw calls himself "sovereign ruler" and "sovereign dragon", but no "pyro sovereigh dragon". It's possible that one more than one dragon ruled in Natlan, especially after the fall of pyro sovereign.
Just like how various archons have lived through natlans history , could it be dragons ruled Natlan prior to Xbalanque? I bet thats why Xbalanque beat the Dragon king , As a rebellion.
@@AhmedMohammed-pf3jk That's a possible explanation. I'm also thinking about how maybe there were a few dragons in Natlan ruling over some regions, united under one pyro dragon sovereign. Ajaw could have tried to seize the power for himself (maybe he killed some other dragon-rulers) and this is why he was sealed.
@@n.s.3609 or just like how tribes work in Natlan now, there were probably dragon rulers per area/tribe back then.
@@manilarome9600 Yup, this is what I think. One dragon ruler per tribe plus a pyro sovereign dragon who acted like Mauvika does now. I do hope we will get to know what heinous acts Ajaw commited to be sealed away.

While seeing Enjou again was great, the quest progression was rather odd. Traveller seems to align with Kinich's deal which was just shit. Elder wanted the mountain king put down, chief wants him alive cause tradition and kinich wants to keep him alive but imprisoned. Kinichs solution is to just kick the can down the road and theres no telling what that rift would do to the king. Then the king wants to die and he just blows past that to keep harping on about the rift plan. Very strange. The resoultion was fine I guess but nowhere near the original plans.

im gonna feed your ajaw/pyro sovereign theory and say that kinich's kit very specifically feeds on pyro reactions. Ik dendro can technically go with anything else, but he thrives on burning the most, I'm not even sure he'd have a good team comp with any other element but dendro and pyro. His signature 5 star weapon even requires pyro reactions. His second best f2p weapon is also one that benefits burning. Im not commenting on the meta as ik im really not an expert, but i think his kit having pyro as almost like a secondary element for him could subtly support your theory and ajaw might actually be pyro, and he only releases dendro bc the ajaw we see rn is just a projection kinich makes from the phlog-smth (i keep forgettin what it's called). Could be delulu but who knows
Also ngl trinidad pissed me off in the last part bc i think at this point he was just blinded by anger to realize he was being an idiot and a hypocrite. What he wanted the traveler to do was essentially to kill the mountain king by cleansing the abyssal energy, but suddenly he's all "Oh no you're gonna kill him with rift hounds???" And also the main reason he wanted to kill him in the first place was bc he, fair enough, knew that the mountain king was a source of danger. Putting the mountain king away in a pocket dimension without killing him would still fulfill his goal of the mountain king no longer hurting anyone. Ik flawed characters are a thing and I'm not dissing the writing, but that just personally pissed me off. I think he really just was thinking of revenge first and foremost and not even about the tribe as a whole in the last part anymore. The man didn't even stop to consider he was going to leave his daughter alone if he had died

so hear me out.....what if Ajaw is telling the truth that he is a sovereign ruler of natlan but the dendro? natlan has six tribes with six elements and all serving the pyro archon,what if the dragon sovereign is the counterpart of pyro archon and he also has six dragonLords of every element? and kuhul Ajaw is the dendro Dragonlord of the nation of flame like a general to the Pyro dragon Sovereign, because dragons also has a civilization and structure, they also have dragon sages, maybe Ajaw was imprisoned by Xbalanque when he killed the Pyro Sovereign? and Enjou was very interested to ajaw that is amounting to something, PS> bring kinich to your teapot ajaw will reveal he has a castle in conversation inside your teapot

In addition to the dialogue mistake showing the coding string for username, in my game Enjou also said "Highness" despite me playing as Lumine.
Highness is universal for both male and female

When I was doing this quest I skipped the first part a bit and wasn't paying much attention and for the rest of the quest i thought Nanna was Huni's mom. I was wondering why people were calling her "Trinidad's companion" but i guessed thats just a fancy way of saying partner or wife 💀
1:13:07 You bring up an interesting point but if anything wouldn't it make more sense for Capitano to share Ancient Name with Xbalanque himself. Unless it has already been stated that the Pyro Archon is passed down through Ancient Name.
Mauvika already told us during the quest after we got Kachina back that she has the memories of the previous pyro archons.
If anything Capitano might be a past bearer of the name from the night wind tribe. It would mean that he knows the current one as well as the deal with Mauvika, he did mention her plan and the gnosis so he has to know it. And it would make sense then if Ororon is the current one then he'd consider Capitanos words since he'd be talking to the previous one of his name. If so maybe Capitano got the name revoked at some point so his memories aren't included in the wayob for one reason or another.
At least that's my idea, haven't seen anyone else talk about it

@@Nelly_Dee Pacal and Kachina explained the ancient names and what they are in the beginning of the quest. When Mualani met Tupac and fist bumped him she gained his knowledge. Mauvika told us that only one ancient name per tribe can carry on memories when the person awakens it. Iansa, Kinich, Xilonen and Mualani are the ones that have the name from their respective tribes and gained memories connected to it. We don't know the other two and the flower feather tribe is one of the two tribes, ororon is from that tribe given the ability he used caused Mauvika to tell Kinich to head there.
Question, did you skip any of the dialog? Cause this was discussed at the start of first and end of the second quest.

It's the "Royal We" back in the day a lot of royalty used to use plurals to reference themselves.

So, while everyone is talking about Enjou, I'm gonna leave a different piece of info i did not personally experience but found out about.
Basically, after you finish act II i believe you have a chance to talk to Mavuika and ask her somethings. (Like usual.) however one such thing is about the first pyro archon. Which she straight up says is Xbalanque (Sorry i don't know how to spell the name.) anyway, so im guessing their gonna reference this casually every now and then and not really make a big deal out of it. Considering even a child knows this info, lol.

I really disliked this quest, the Enjou subplot was cool and all but i really don't see how anyone can side with Kinich and the clan head here. the mountain king suffered for like 500 years and now he needs to suffer even more to "repent"? just so that they have a punching bag to train on. Pretty despicable, just let him rest for gods sake.
So pretty much if Kinich dies, there's going to be a spidermaning ancient name bearer with the power of Neuvi in Natlan. Who's to say that Ajaw isn't the current sovereign, the lore says that the pryo dragon was killed by the first archon. Neuvi wasn't the first hydro dragon either.

This was a strange quest for me. Moments with Enjou was fun but everything else...
1. I already not buying that dilemma about kill or not to kill Mountain King. If he was killing people of course they should end him. Traditions and religions not supposed to take human lives. Human lives is more important. So that part is already kinda got me in bad mood.
2. The ending. The whole quest they told us that Kinich can't do mistakes or he will die and Ajaw will have his body. But in the end his plan totally failed but everything still turns out okay just because. Everything went even better than anyone could imagine and everyone was alive in the end even Nanna turns out to be alive. It was just such a childish and not deserved good ending. And i don't like it.
Don't get me wrong i don't hate happy endings just in that case it's feels like we didn't do anything to get that ending and this all was just a big happy accident.
To be fair the thing about him not making mistakes is just a theory not concrete. Enjou was basically reading a scholars research notes and theories so take what it said with a pinch of salt.
Nanna being alive also doesn't come across as too bad for me the main reason for her death was stated to be that she got corrupted by the abyss because off the Mountain King. When she jumped off the Cliff (which even in gameplay they could survive) she happened to run into legitimately one of the best people to cleanse you of abyssal corruption even better than the traveller (Enjou)
I understand it also the mountain king was indid destinied to die but the Abyss stended their lifespan (also wanted to die)... the only thing they do is make the menace be only "contained" but not fully eliminated and not allowing the mountain king rest in peace.... I wish when the game ends give the king the closure they deserve (also for the boss figth I don't think is necesary to explain in lore... is like a domain)

English is not my first language so pronouns are confusing some times expecialy when gender neutral cuz in my language we dont really have that 😅
