- Race Info: Sport Mode Race 2 - Daily Race C - Gr.4 17/11/2017 ~~~ Back into "sport mode" against fellow E-level drivers in my second race in this mode. I thought us all having a sportsmanship rating of B would have made for a clean race. I was wrong.

This video seems to have, for whatever magical reason, been recommended to people in the wider scale of youtube. Thanks to those of you who are new to my channel who've clicked to watch. Unfortunately it seems a few people don't manage to get past the first few minutes, or at least can't separate that from what happens afterwards. I felt it was worth a comment here to explain. I do promote and enjoy clean racing. It's what I want. This was my second sport mode race and on my first day of playing the game. So I was hardly experienced. I admit that I did hit other drivers in the beginning, but none were intentional and they were all more like taps than anything else, not affecting their overall race/position. I was simply caught out by how other drivers were braking earlier than they should have and with experience I'll be aiming to do better with that. In general I'll be aiming to do better overall to my racing as I improve on the game, and hopefully my future videos in the series will showcase how far I've come from here (and the previous two episodes which were also on my first day with the game). Broughy1322 I applaud your sportsmanship by racing him clean despite his actions, no reason to negatively effect your own rating or to allow someone else to make you drive dirty. To the people criticizing your driving, oh well that's the price for uploading your play to youtube, your points are valid there is a difference between accidentally bumping someone and straight running someone off the track like this a-hole. There are some valid points there though, you did dive bomb the corner a couple times which is easy to do early in a race when the fields bunched but ultimately that can to lead to more trouble than the position is worth if you pull it off. All and all though your driving was clean once everything was stretched out and you did a good job staying on the racing line, not bad driving at all, continue with the attitude you have and stay clean and you'll have no problems getting along online. Couple of suggestion from a long time sim racer, one even if you dont qualify never race without at least a couple laps of practice on the track in the car your racing, two try breaking a little less hard and earlier you can carry more speed through the corner come out at higher speed and it will improve your lap times and while it doesn't really matter in gt sport much it will help out a lot in tire management in more serious sims, save the late breaking and tire wear for passes, and defense later in the race. Your going beyond the threshold a little to much and making the traction control and abs go off a lot that is putting a lot of stress on the tires and burning speed of the car in the corner, even with aids on the less the car needs them the smoother your driving and the faster your lap speeds will be. Smooth out your inputs, break earlier with smoother input, and accellarate sooner with smoother input unit your full on pedal to the floor out of the corner. Trust me slow in fast out is better and faster anyday than late breaking and it makes things easier to control and better when you do make a mistake, you end up with far less spins and off tracks with this approach and it's a necessity once you start racing with no assist. Anyways good racing, not trying to criticise your driving just offering some constructive criticism to help you on the way. Enjoyed the video and way to show up that dirty driving hack.

I'm in the UK, but played against a lot of nations across the globe throughout GT5 and GT6. Brazilians really stood out, only remember literally 2 - 3 clean Brazilian racers in all those years compared to the 100's I was wrecked by. I've worked late shifts for many years so play on US and sometimes AUS servers as much as Euro servers.

The first three videos were from a single live stream so I can't change anything after the fact. The problem with putting it in the bottom right or left is that it hides other cars, so you can't see when I may be side by side with someone for example. I'd rather have the track map in the bottom right of left but GT doesn't allow that. So it's a bit of a pain. There is no good option that doesn't cover something.

That “neutral” Swiss guy “battle” was very fun and epic. Thank God he ghosted through the chicane.

This guy and I were battling for 1st, I was trailing him when we both took a corner and I hit him off the road. I pulled over and let him take first because it was the right thing to do. Still won lol.

The one thing I've always liked about gran turismo games is how it shows you the recommended gear for the next turn and starts flashing when you enter the brake zone.
Dude you hit people a couple time yourselves. But I get it it was nothing like this deliberate ram fest.
This is the cleanest demolition derby race I've ever seen.
video games have really advanced exponentially since I was a teen. I grew up during arcades infancy. we had Atari consoles & the Commodore 64. the racing game was literally just 2 rows of white rectangular shapes to stay between, on a black backdrop. this stuff now ah days is so realistic, it's almost like seeing a real race. home gaming just about didn't survive due to rudimentary graphics, limited power of electronics & processors, memory & outrageous costs. computing & arcade has made an incredible comeback.
That was some awesome driving Broughy! Even with some others cheating, you still came-up on top.
i watched this video with eurobeat playing in the background. All i have got to say is that with eurobeat this video gets 5 stars out of 5 great video, keep up the good work.
Being penalised in my SR rating when someone crashes into me is annoying.
BTW, I am pleased I wasn't one of the other drivers in that race.
This was a great race, however you were at fault for your 2 penalties. The first one you did a divebomb into a corner for a lane that wasn't open and then you overshot the first part of the chicane then cut the next corner. Both didn't really affect your outcome of the race, and I'm sure those scumbags got plenty of deductions from their SR. If you continue to race well you won't deal with those type of racers as much.
ThrowinFire that seems to be the way he passes eveyone. Dive bombs the corner then when the guy he passed has more corner speed he bumps into the back and then this guy acts like a victim.

There are some stupidly heinous penalties in GT Sport but most of the time they are appropriate.
this morning someone crashed me into the wall.. I was completely stoped.. the game seemed to think id gained 9 seconds lol

I had to watch the part at 4:38 a second time to see where the Cayman Clubsport hit you (the first time). Yup, he pushed you off the road and then did it a second time later. You did a great job continuing to race cleanly and not sink to that level. Seriously. Good job.

If you haven't heard they will be fixing the sportsmanship judgement algorithm with the swiftly approaching update. They'll also show above their names when their SR goes up or down.
"8 laps!! I didn't realize it was going to be SO LONG".....this was enough to make me spit my drink. 8 laps is only getting into good warm tire territory. lol

Gg for taking those scumbags cleanly, thought you might be tempted to recreate the Senna / Prost incident at the chicane :) This is an enjoyable series, hope you give Project Cars 2 a go at some stage too, heard it's a massive improvement on the original.
Not talking about every italian drivers on gt, but every gt i played online against italians they wanted to hit me and others off road

I very rarely comment on videos. All the way through this video or at least after the second time you got knocked, I was screaming at you to smash the guy off. But you didn’t and you recovered so well it was a joy to watch you finish 6th and such a real pleasure to see you be rewarded so well by that guy. I hope I can take away this lesson and assimilate it into my future conduct. No adverts as well so that also made this one of my top TH-cam experiences 🙂

When someone rams you and you beat that rammer by ramming him back, well you won at the game. But when a rammer rams you and you recover and beat them cleanly, not only that you've beaten them at the game, but at being a better human being as well, so it's a *double* loss for them.
So you shouldn’t play games like that :)

It's interesting how different the mindset is in Forza compared to GT:Sport. Tough another car in GT Sport? SCUMBAGGGGGGG. Meanwhile, it's destruction derby over in Forza lobbies. It's great to see how GT Sport is changing the driving mentality in an online game. Mega props!

I've barely done sport mode because it's so frustrating. Constantly getting rammed, even when I started 2nd from the back in one race, sure enough very first corner I got rammed off by the guy behind me.

Your not alone,I get hit all the time and end up coming out of lobbies before the end of the race
A tip for getting rid of the slow down penalty: don't slow down on straights, go for the corner exits instead. Naturally you will get the penalty to decrease just by driving at a normal pace. The game will register a lot of your corners as a bit slower than the default speed, so that is to be taken advantage of. You have lots of time to get rid of the penalty so don't rush it.

whenever i crash someone i turn into a ghost, is there a way to turn this off?
I believe it gets less harsh as sportsmanship and driver ratings improve.
One time someone tried to brake test me right before the finish line... I avoided it thanks to ABS and went ahead of him lmao. I hate how your SR goes down when people brake test you though. I've seen a lot of people do that lately and it drives me crazy.
You can also serve the penalties at the very end of the race. Often this is done in the course of the race, because you take a lot of time, automatically, if you brake a bit early.
It gets much better when you get an SR of "S". Almost no crashes happen.

Downshift around corners, the engine braking helps slow you down enough to make it around the corner more efficientyl
E B is the default rating when you first get online in GT Sport. Finish a few races with penalties and wade into that cesspool if you really want a good time!
Is there some lag issues ? (With other players) Thinking about buying this. Forza 7 online is not doing if for me.
I would like to see more lobby’s with full damage, might make the races a bit cleaner.

That already exists within Nodo. We have quite a lot of people in the game already and so far there's been lobbies and racing almost every night
