The old bass player and drummer were temporary, now the guy who played the keyboard is playing bass permanently, and I think the drummer in this video is temporary as well.
It's both bands playing the song one bass player is with forever in combat one is with follow my lead both bands are playing the song it just switches between all of them so you can see them all play I think that's what your confused about?

presumably, just setting the amp to a muffled sounding, bass heavy tone and lowering the audio
Its fades from really muffled sounding to the complete opposite
