    Almost 41 years in the business, I would never recommend a spot treatment. Termites entries aren’t always visible so multiple entries are a real threat. BTW, goggles should be worn and rubbing eyes with gloves used for treating is also not good.

      Earl Berry yea with termites I do think your better off having a pro do the job. Here is a tip. Contact a successful realtor in your town. Ask who they use. Call that company and tell them that realtor refereed you to them. That is how you will usually get the best possible deal. Also make sure they use a non repellent termiticide

      In NC we are required to drill all foundation elements within 4ft of any termite evidence. When I first started we had to drill it all on every single house. A lot of companies here get waivers signed to not have to do it but I prefer to do no waivers unless I have to.

    What about the void between those blocks? The problem with liquid treatments is most only work where they’re placed. If successfully gaining access, they move over to your non repellent just cause it’s a non repellent.

    what is you have a small crawlspace you cant get into but can see into it and it gets wet, since near the driveway where I get water. We had a basement sump pump put in yrs ago for minor water, if any. we also use a dehumidifer near the crawlspace in my basement. My basement is dry. but when it rains this crawlspace does get wet. Will that ruin the effect of the termidor? Which is what I sm understanding.
    I am getting this full treatment done. We have minimal damage thankfully. We have taken such good care of our home and lived here for years and now this problem, after my neighbor took a large tree down I believe.

    hey tommy it is tommy right, question please ,where you drilled the spot treatment between the block and the brick could you have drilled it higher up on just the bricks for the horizontal drilling also if you could get enough chemical into the expansion joint without virticle drilling would that be legal and do you have to do a full house graph for a spot treatment

    • @AAAExterminatingCo
      @AAAExterminatingCo  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      GORDON BELL you are allowed to drill the expansion joint but we don’t because it is better to drill slab. The drilling into the block needs to be within 16 inches of the ground. If you do a spot treatment especially for a real estate transaction you need to do a contract with graphs and waiver.

    We had termites in one wall near our tub. Had two companies come by and inspected and found no evidence of termites anywhere else but still gave quotes for around 2500$ to 2700$ for every three years which is about 1,000$ per year for life. We did research and took care of the problem ourselves and the termites were gone about a week later. We trenched the entire side with a pick axe, used granules around the home, put foam in the walls, sprayed pesticides everywhere and we are going to set our own bait stations also in the future. 1,000$ a year for life for some ants. NO! The products are available online with the same exact active ingredients as the pros use and they really do work. We also used Taurus to
    Trench and it definitely works

    • @AAAExterminatingCo
      @AAAExterminatingCo  ปีที่แล้ว

      I still think you are better off using a pro but you just had a bad experience. $1000 dollars per year is ridiculous. On average our price is under $1000 to treat then 125.00 per year. And we treat the entire structure. You should call some local companies and get better pricing what you just quoted is outrageous

    • @outofthebox9913
      @outofthebox9913 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@AAAExterminatingCo that seems like a really fair price and if we got quotes like that at the time we wouldve hired a pro for sure. Yeah here in Florida that’s what top companies are charging which I think is wrong. A service should cost what it costs and not change because they think you make more money so they Charge more.

      I personally do not mind paying the professionals to do a full treatment with a good warranty. However, they just don't do a good job for the ridiculous prices. They tell you one thing and if you watch them, they only spray & not trench or drill. Yes, Floridians are really getting taken advantage. The money is not an issue with me.
